The Best GF Ramen
In the last couple of years I began my involuntary journey of a Gluten Intolerance. I'm a pretty huge ramen fan, so making ramen at home with GF noodles has been my go-to move. BUT, as with any "make it from home" lifestyle, it's limited. I am obviously not always home. And to further that point, weather emergencies are becoming more common in my area and i'm regularly left with having to store in bulk non parishable foods AND use them. Enter the most popular stash of weather prepardness... a cup of noodles. Noodles that i can no longer have because of a Gluten Intolerance. So i desperately searched on Amazon to try and find some kind of SAFE alternative for myself. I found these. Now... currently, the price of this 6pack of Rice Ramen is about $20. that isn't a super great value. But, GF people know... GF anything is never cheap. So it's honestly, do-able. Next was the taste. I tried two different methods here: one, as it comes (just adding the water.) and two, with a few added ingrediants. WITHOUT added ingrediants, it tastes perfectly fine. amazing? no. but still good and absolutely perfectly fine. truly just as good as a regular ramen. WITH a few added ingrediants (i added a scoop of chili oil, a scoop of fresh scallions, and one egg)... the BEST ramen i've ever had!!! note that it is NOT spicy. although the label states it is. keep that in mind if spicy is the thing youre aiming for here. Now... the portion. When you pull the tab and reveal the noodles, at first glance, its a REALLY small portion. But after adding the water and allowing the noodles to grow and such, it ends up being really filling. I would argue that after having regular ramen im usually still hungry. whereas with this rice ramen, i was full and satisfied. for the price, id say its completely worth it because of quality, taste, and that it is GF. from now on, i will be buying these in bulk.

These are tiny! Are these for kids? Maybe one could fill up a six year old.
Taste isn't anything impressive. Portions are minuscule. The price is way too high. Disappointing. Make your own rice noodles and you're better off. Or if you can eat gluten and don't mind a ton of salt, go with the standard Cup O' Noodles for flavor and a lower price.

Delicious
These are the best GF ramen I've found. I like a variety of Lotus's flavors, but the spicy kimchi is my favorite. The freeze dried veggies make this taste so authentic!

Almost as good as the ramen noodles in a rectangle
These noodles are thinner so they cook in 3 min instead of 4. I like the 4 minute noodles in a rectangle better, but these also taste alright. Good heat to the kimchi, could even be a little spicier.

high in sodium; not healthy
Not bad. They're an okay flavor. However, there is sooo much sodium. For over 40% of the daily intake, I expected that they would taste better. It's definitely a convenience food. Good that's it's gluten free but you're better off making you're own ramen and taking it to go. Has a somewhat spicy flavor with a hint of shrimp and kimchi.

3 mins it’s so good
I can’t have gluten and I live that I can still eat ramen. My favorite way to make this is to boil water in the microwave and while that’s happening, crush the additions in the silver bag. I like to get most to the tofu crushed. It’s not my favorite texture whole. Then I pour it in. When the water boils, I pour that in the cup, replace the lid and put something on top to keep it sealed for 3 minutes. So good.

Delicious. Watch the price.
Best non dairy non wheat noodle cup I've tried. But the price has increased drastically. I'm keeping my eye on the price to see if it comes back down. It's a good buy at $2 per cup, but not for $5.

Not bad but not enough
Not really spicy at all. I thought there would be more spice then there was. Otherwise good flavor but small portion size.
