The Mavericks Collection

Great Music!

One of the songs skips two thirds of the way through...plus the case had a crack in it, along with a second cd case that was cracked..

Nothing to dislike. The Mavericks are the nicest group of man. I recommend that whoever is reading this post should attend their concerts. They bring soo much joy, fun, smiles and love to their fans. You will not be disappointed .

A good collection of the Mavericks up to about 1999, includes B-sides and lesser-known material that shows the depth of their catalog. They cover Rogers& Hart, Cat Stevens, modern and classic country ( Harlan Howard, Al Anderson, Hank Williams), as well as their own material. Raul Malo is one of the unheralded singers and songwriters of the 90's ( IMHO) and folks who are unfamiliar with the band will instantly recognize several of these tracks, which got extensive FM airplay on independent stations. A well-worth it double CD package.Was packaged well and received promptly from shipper. Prepare to dance the night away!

I love their songs and was surprised to see that this CD has their early work. It has a Tex-Mex feel that is fun to sing along with. Even the heart breaking songs want you to sing along and feel the pain. Love this band.

I really like the Tex-mex sound of this group. I do think that Raul Malo has one of the best voices in the industry! So glad they're putting out more music!

This group can really jam and Raul Malo's incredible singing voice is truly similar to a Latin style Roy Orbison who was an incredible song writer/singer that I a grew up listening to back in the day. The variety of The Mavericks music is rare and definitely under the radar of today's mainstream radio stations. Every time I play this double CD makes me more appreciate this group. How did this band fly under my radar all these years when they had this much talent? A really well thought out and put together compilation. A welcome addition to anyone's collection who is into Americana, folk, country & rock & roll. Raul Malo is a gifted singer and The Mavericks deserve your attention. Enjoy.

A really good double CD collection of songs by the Mavericks.This collection of songs comes from the first half of their career - and so there's nothing after c.2002.Given the Mavericks have released new music since then, this can hardly be called a 'best of'.Yet, there's plenty of great stuff to listen to! If you're a fan of the band, you'll thoroughly enjoy this double album.

I bought this after listening to the mavericks on a streaming service. Just wanted to play the music in the car. So disappointed with the music content. The mavericks are so much better than this collection. Still for the price what should I have expected.

A great collection of Mavericks songs. This 2 CD collection has all my favourite tunes from this group. From "Here comes the rain" " Blue moon" " Children" to the ever popular Dance the night away. This is great for anyone who likes the Mavericks, as a gift or for yourself.

Its the Mavericks - you love the Mavericks music and they have never disappointed. Raul Malo can sing a washing machine manual and make it sound sweet, soulful and brimful of emotion.

I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE BUT HAVING HEARD IT WE NOW HAVE TWO COPIES ONE FOR ME IN THE CAR AND ONE FOR HER WHEREVER SHE MAY BE AT THE TIME. i DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN WEAR CD'S OUT BUT IF YOU CAN THIS IS GOING TO BE THE FIRST.
