You don’t have to set them up you turn them on and put the battery in put the battery in first laugh out loud and they work they work right away. They’re awesome and I recommend they glow in the dark remote covers for them.

My first delivery of these remotes was disappointing. The seal on the plastic envelope was compromised and I received an empty envelope. Got right in a chat with Amazon and they shipped out a replacement order which was delivered the next day. Well folks, the wait was worth it. Exact functional replacement of the original remote model RC-AL5 delivered with my TCL Roku model 55R615 TV. Earlier this year I went through a debacle finding a 2nd remote for my Fire Cube, so I didn't have huge expectations. I was delighted to receive replacement remotes were exact working replacement. I just stuck in two AAA alkaline batteries (Amazon brand of course :) ) and it was off to the races. Absolutely no programming required, truly a plug and play installation. I'm smiling, after that little delivery fumble, I had my expectations exceeded, a good day indeed.

Y'all...I don't know who else out there feels my pain, but we go through junky tv remotes like they're made of dissolving goo! Legit we go through like....4 or 5 remotes a year 🤦‍♀️ I know, it's ridiculous. I'm really hoping this two pack lasts a while. I went to order the remote I've been ordering forever and it was no longer available. Great, I knew that one worked with my model TV at least! But it was junk, hence the 4-5 remotes a year 🙄 If you dropped it, it broke. Maybe this remote will be different....I immediately like the fact that I get 2 for what I normally paid for 1! So Haier is the brand of my cheap Roku tv and this remote listed it as compatible and it is! Yes! I was worried, sometimes these things just don't do what they say they will. I noticed first thing out of the package that both remotes were intact, not broken, and they feel a bit heavier than the previous brand. They have a slightly textured feel to them. This is promising 👌 I put the batteries in and that was that. I didn't have to do anything additional to pair them to my TV, it just automatically paired itself and worked. All of the buttons work and I'm so excited for the bottom quick access buttons! That's the best feature by far, these quick access buttons are the ones I use most often for the most part. Previous remotes these buttons were very underutilized cause they accessed apps I rarely used. The time it takes for the TV to respond is a little long but it's always been that way no matter what remote I've used. Today is only day 1. I also bought cute silicone cases for these in hopes of making them last a bit longer because I'm sick of them breaking the moment they hit the ground. I can't say this particular remote will break the moment it hits the ground, to be clear! But I've planned ahead to avoid that issue anyways. I'm happy with my purchase so far and will update if anything changes!

My factory remote for our TCL TV developed issues after the batteries inside leaked and made the remote unusable. I took the factory remote completely apart and cleaned everything and it still wouldn't work. I was skeptical that this replacement remote would do the job. I've only used it one time as it's for a TV we have on our screen porch. The remote stays inside when not in use but even in the drawer, the batteries leaked. From now on when not in use I'm taking the batteries out of things. I feel this was a good product and even though it isn't exactly like the factory remote, it seems the features and buttons do what I need them to do.

This remote did not feel like the original in terms of texture or smoothness. It had a roughness to it which was absolutely fine as long as it worked. To my very greatest disappointment...with two brand new Duracell batteries it stopped working. It worked for about 1 hrs and than just stopped working, even though I had brand new batteries in their I tried changing them anyway, nope, no luck there. That obviously was not the problem. The same day it came into the mail, which was Friday, October 2, 2020 and I opened and put fresh Duracell batteries in...everything seemed great, I was happy I finally had a working remote again. To my dismay, a hour later it just stopped working. I even reset the TV as a last ditch effort thinking maybe the TV froze or something even though the pictures were still moving i was willing to try anything. When that didn't work I tried replacing the batteries once again with another set of bran new batteries, still didn't work!! I don't recommend buying this remote, cause you buy it just for it to stop working not to long after. Cant shut the TV off, control the volume, mute it, set sleep timer, use any of the buttons on it that takes you to the respective apps, or turn on or off. I even tried leaving the remotes batteries for a period of time and placing them back in....nothing! I don't recommend buying unless you plan to waste your money. Good luck trying to get a refund. They make that hard as well. Not happy and I have purchased replacement Roku remotes before for my other TV JUST NOTTHROUGH THIS SELLER. I had no issue with the other seller but they did not have the remote I was looking for or I would of bought from them again. IM HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED AND WOULD LIKE A REFUND AND THIS REMOTE SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN! WITHOUT A PROPER ADRESS I CANT RETURN THIS THING BDCAUSE WHAT I GOT UNDER USER INFO FOR NAME AND ADDRESS WERE JUST LETTERS AND NOTHING THAT FORMED A SENTENCE, A ZIP CODE OR STATE OR COUNTRY WHERE IT CAME FROM. AMAZON WILL NOT REFUND UNLESS PRODUCT IS RETURNEE TO ORIGINAL SELLER. INWOULD LIKE A REFUND NOT A REPLACEMNET AMD NOT GOING TO PAY FOR SHIPMENT TO HEY A REFUND WHEN THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE!

I have a vacation rental home with all Roku tvs. These must work well as guests seem to take them with them as they leave. AAA batteries

Works like a charm. No more pressing on the buttons til my fingers hurt.
