Q: How are they if you wet get your hands?

not a problem...you can take them off and dry your hands or just leave them on and pat your hands dry. They are made of plastic and are very comfortable .

Q: How long do they last?

They are durable. It is not a plastic that easily breaks. I bought mine more than 6 months ago and it's still in great conditions.

Q: I have trigger thumb. How long do I need to wear this for the tendon to heal itself?

I am not sure your trigger thumb will actually heal by wearing it. At least it hasn’t for me. I have trigger thumb also and the splint is keeping my finger from bending all the way, which is keeping it from catching and locking up. I have been wearing this splint for a couple of months now and my thumb is definitely not any worse. I do have an appointment with a hand specialist in a couple of months which I will probably be getting a cortisone shot.
