I play guitar and bass. Will this do for both? I don’t really want to buy separate units as I’m a casual player.

I used it on my bass and it does work but the sound quality is worse than guitar - and when I plugged my guitar back in it also sounded different, a lot fuzzier and a bit muffled, but not unusable and I think it still sounds fine now, but I'd be careful with playing a lot of bass on it

Do i need to buy a special charger for this amp?

A mini usb phone charger will do ... Not the newer c-type cable .
