Works great for order control. And is nice/looking. But regular trash bags can tear open if they're too heavy when changing bags. Real nice diaper pail though.

As a grandparent of two small, wonderful, waste-excreting children, I love this diaper pail. Our grandson and his parents lived with us for the first 8 months of his life, and we tried another brand of diaper pail. The other brand had special bags inserts, and we had to fit the bag cartridge in the pail (luckily not often), cut the bags and tie them at each end (these latter two steps occurred several times per week). It seemed non-intuitive, and since we purchased the Ubbi pail in October 2024, shortly after our granddaughter was born, we realized our assumptions were correct - it is totally non-intuitive, inefficient, aggravating and illogical. With the Ubbi, you simply use normal garbage bags. Additionally, the pail is the coolest looking one on the market. It controls odors quite effectively, and looks good doing it. My son and daughter-and-law had a pail like our first one, and it had become so unusable for them that they were just throwing used diapers on their entryway floor (thankfully in the little purple bags to seal them - still fairly disgusting, but not completely cringe-worthy) and taking them out each evening to the outside garbage. I bought them a Ubbi pail which arrived today, and they were pleased with the utility of using normal garbage bags and were excited to put the sharp looking pail in the entry area, thus severely diminishing the grossness of the area. These are absolutely fantastic pails. If you’re in the market, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and get an item that functions efficiently and effectively and which truly looks almost decorative in comparison to other diaper pails.

It's a great diaper pail. We were using it for disposable diapers initially, and it kept the odor in and it was great because we could use normal trash bags in it. Now it's holding cloth diapers and doing a great job of keeping the odor in and it holds a washable liner really well. It's also pretty cute, and that helps a little with all the diaper changes. It also locks, which is great when you have curious dogs, who want into the bin.

The best. They hold the smell in and you can use whatever trash bag you want! It’s a good size to hold a lot the diapers without taking up so much room. The lid slides easy and locks into place.

Baby diapers smell so it’s natural to get odors when opening the top. We did not experience any smell when it’s closed so our nursery stayed nice smelling. It’s easy to use and you can use any garbage bag with it. Huge money saver.

Only real complaint is that it can be difficult to open the bin completely (i.e., not sliding the circular door open but actually lifting the whole lid). Otherwise, the sliding door is easy to open, the bin contains bad odors well, and the color is pretty. It is somewhat small, but it’s the size described so that’s on me for not ordering a larger size! The metal is sleek looking and it is not super heavy to transport. I am very glad I bought this as it’s been a lifesaver.

My other pail fell apart at the joints. I use it for cat litter baggies. However I prefer this for its sturdiness and the parts are built together rather than having to try and close latches on thin plastic parts. The odor stays inside. I use a refreshing spray every time I add to the bag and it never smells like pee or poop but it is not necessary! Pros: Sturdy ,hard plastic parts that are fitted together by design. Contoured. Minimal odor Uses ANY medium plastic bags.I use 13 gallon Hefty. Cons: none.. I am glad I chose this brand.

I had a plastic diaper genie. I hated the tube of bags and the cheap look. However, besides having to squish a wet poopy diaper through the spring loaded flapper valve I had little issues. I simply hated the tube of bags and the cheap cutter. The ubbi on the other hand is well made, looks good and allows me to use my own bags. However, every time I open the door the stench is horrendous. At this point I give the ubbi 3 stars because I’m unsure the pros out weighs the stench. Note, the smell is only when the door is open and dissipates quickly. It does not smell when the door is shut. I never smelled anything with the diaper genie. I am tempted to return since I’d rather not pay twice the amount for a decent looking diaper pal at the expense of killing my sense of smell verse a cheaper plastic pal that allows me to breathe normally.
