Nice looking sliding door lock

The handle is lovely, good quality , but what a so n so to fit (install) would have been easier if you supplied a template/tracing as where to drill and cut. Also on thinner doors a couple of plastic spacers, so the lock mechanism is not pinched and making it very difficult to turn the lock - as if jammed. Now installed the I sorted out the issues, it is a lovely handle and lock.

completely dissatisfied. this thing basically has key on one side and the latch which locks from other side, now the issue is that you have to leave the key on the other side in order to lock the door from inside. used this for bathroom door so what is the point if then someone can open it from outside. Another issue is the key is in the way of the sliding mechanism when opening the door. the door does not slide in completely and the key is now destroying the door frame. Same thing I used for basement door and the key does not come out without locking the door, so if the door is unlocked the key stays in. rubbish mechanism.

Looks really nice and well made but to quite difficult to fit, despite chiseling quite a bit in the door, it still doesn't fit well nor lock properly. I am usually good at DIY but this one was a disappointment.
