Stripping paint is never fun but this made it easier! I stripped multiple layers of paint off of this deck lid in less than an hour with a great finish!

Great at making noise, not great at removing paint.
I read a lot about Eastwood SCT and finally got one. It was pretty bad at removing paint on my 1973 Pontiac, so I figured let me get this drum. No dice. Made a whole lot of noise, but paint came off PAINFULLY slow. Either had to push it doen hars, which heated up the metal a lot, or it bsrely did anything. In comparison, a paint stripping wheel on a grinder works about 5x faster, and makes less noise as well. Honestly, very disappointing. Thre some paint stripper on, and it did an hiur job with the grinder in 5 effortless minutes.

Works best if most of the paint has already been stripped.
This isn’t very good at removing automotive paint. 5” nylon paint stripping wheels on an angle grinder are miles faster. These drum strippers are good for doing the last 10% down to the bare metal. They produce a lot of heat. It’s important to not dwell in a small area when using it.
