PURITO Sea Buckthorn Vital 70 Cream for Sensitive Skin, 1.70 fl.oz

I've been a big fan of the Purito Unscented Centella Sunscreen, and I was very excited to find this new essential oil-free formulation of their sea buckthorn moisturizer. I really like the idea of sea buckthorn for skin in theory, and this was the first product I got to try it out in. I am thrilled!! This is nearly entirely free of any scent, and has the perfect cream gel texture that absorbs quickly and is fairly non greasy. Most importantly, I can wear this on top of serums and under sunscreen in 90+F, 50+% humidity, and it doesn't clog my pores and make a sweaty mess. Additionally, I have combo, sensitive skin, and this is a dream in terms of skin comparability! Even many "sensitive skin" products give me redness and a burning sensation, but this product feels soothing and does not make me break out. Well done, Purito!

For the price the cream does not really do much. It is light, absorbs well and feels good on skin. But it did nothing for dark spots or complexion.

I like the lack of smell. I'm sensitive to perfumes. My facial skin will automatically reject anything it doesn't like by immediately perspiring. This does not cause a reaction at all. It's nice and light. I haven't used it long enough to notice any difference in my skin tone, though.

But I hate the packaging. It needs a pump. I hate taking off the cap with each use. Such a pain. So I won’t be sticking with it.

Love how light it is and totally unscented. Works really well under sunscreen and in summer. Might not be moisturizing enough for really dry skin and I personally want something creamier at night. Can't speak to the brightening claims tho - at least I haven't noticed anything - been using for about 3 weeks. I will repurchase and recommend to anyone looking for a light budget friendly moisturizer. I do wish it came in a metal tube (less plastic) and that the cap flipped open but sometimes those can be prone to breaking.

The old essential oil formulation was one of my favorite creams for combo/oily skin, but the citrus essential oil was sensitizing my skin so I had to stop using it. I'm glad Purito actually listens to their customers and made this new renewal version of this product without the essential oil. The product did however come in the old box for the essential oil formulation so for a second I thought they sent me the wrong product, but inside was the new version so I am glad they are recycling their packaging I guess. This is great for brightening the skin and is in a gel texture so your skin doesn't get oily as quickly as if you were using a cream.

This Purito sea buckthorn gel cream is very light and non-greasy. It absorbs very quickly into my skin, without any "residue" feeling being left on my skin. The cream is white, which surprised me as other sea buckthorn products I've used have been bright orange. At least with this one being white - I can wear it places other than just my house, as it's invisible on my skin. The cream is unscented. I've been wearing this cream as a step in my regular skin care routine, and it is playing well with my other skincare. Unlike a silicone based cream, this one doesn't pill when I put moisturizer/makeup/sunscreen overtop. I have dull, aging, combination skin that has a tendency to be sensitive. This cream is super light and doesn't clog my pores, and unlike vitamin c cream, it doesn't make my skin sting, it's very gentle. Has not caused any sensitivity for me. I do wear a moisturizer with this cream, as it isn't moisturizing enough on its own, at least not in wintertime. This cream is vegan and not tested on animals. It comes in a tube made from recycled plastic. It contains sea buckthorn and niacinamide, which I'm hopeful in time should brighten up my dull skin. All good things! This cream is powerful yet gentle - I like it.
