A Ride Through the Neighborhood (Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood)

Daniel Tiger is such a great program for kiddos. I started showing this TV show to my son when he was an infant, he was enthralled by the big faces, and now as a toddler loves the songs and characters. I love how they have so many great lessons in each episode, and do the cartoon as well as real life experiences for the kiddos to watch. The lessons are so good to implement with my little one, and as I hear the songs more and more I can remember to sing them to him when he's facing one of those issues. We have a couple of the holiday Daniel Tiger lift the flap books also. He also has the DVD set and the big and small Daniel Tiger plush. Of course he was Daniel Tiger for Halloween this year also. So he is a huge fan! (We ordered a Trolley patch like the kids wear in the show on their red zip sweaters). Overall, I highly recommend this show to any parent looking for an innocent program, that teaches kids concepts about life experiences, feelings, and how to handle them. This book arrived in a padded envelope from Amazon with a few dents and dings. Not bad enough to return it though. It's a hard board book in the shape of Trolley, with glossy pages. The excitement from my son when receiving this as part of his Easter gift was beyond wonderful for me to watch. We have read it numerous times already, and I am so glad I purchased this book for him. It's a must-have for any kiddo that has a love for Daniel Tiger.

"A Ride Through the Neighborhood" is a delightful little book filled with characters from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. School is out for the day and Trolley is taking Miss Elena, Prince Wednesday, Katerina Kittycat, O the Owl, and Daniel Tiger to their families. Trolley begins its ride through the neighborhood with all the children aboard, dropping kids off to their parents/guardians until only Daniel is left to met his dad at the Clock Factory. Each character is equally featured, so your little ones won't be disappointed. The book opens with Daniel's bright, "Hi, neighbor!" and closes with his loving, "Ugga Mugga!" Get ready to read a lot of "dings" for Trolley--your kiddo will dig it! The book is of a very nice quality. It is a board book, but without the massively thick pages some have. Definitely sturdy. The wheels do spin freely which is a nice touch. You can wheel the Trolley book around in make-believe, if you like. Wonderful purchase. Our two year old's brain basically exploded with joy!

We pre-ordered this book last year for our daughter who just turned 3 in January since she has enjoyed watching Daniel Tiger on TV. When she got this book for her birthday she was delighted that the wheels actually spin and that she can turn the pages herself (since it is a board book) then she 'drives' the book all over the place when we are done reading. Reading this book with her is a daily occurance (sometimes several times a day) and I am thankful that it's not too long.

I was a bit skeptical because of some of the others reviews I’d read about it being flimsy but I didn’t think that at all! My son loves the way the wheels turn. Cute.

This Daniel Tiger "A Ride Through the Neighborhood" board book is super cute. My boys love that it is shaped like trolly. It is a very simple, quick read that introduces all of the different characters from Daniel's neighborhood and describes their function in society. The issue that I have is that the spine of the book is not durable. My boys are typical kids and they tend to be a tad rough with their books. Over the past two years I have had to tape the spine two or three times. This isn't a big deal for us, we still read this book often. This is a must for any Daniel Tiger fan!

This Daniel Tiger book is great for my 2 year old. We Pre-ordered 4 books and this is for sure his favorite. He loves that the wheels actually move and he drives it like its a toy. So you get a book and a fun toy for your kids to play with. The story is very good because you get to see all the characters of the show and you see where they live and the families they have. Overall this is a wonderful book that kids will enjoy for a very long time, It is well built and has very thick pages so those page rippers wont be able to infiltrate this one. Get it and have a blast!

Very cute book that has moving trolley wheels on the bottom. My 2-year old son loves Daniel Tiger and he actually likes to used this book as the trolley more than read it. There isn't too much to the book although it does go through some of the neighborhood. Would have liked to see Daniel's mother in the book but I guess she didn't make the cut. Everyone else is in it though.

Mi hija es muy fan de Daniel y le ha encantado el cuento. Salen todos los personajes pero no la hermanita que a ella le hace mucha gracia.

This book is really awesome. It's short and sweet so great for the parents, and it's all carb board so great for babies, they don't get paper cuts and can't rip it! Once baby gets teeth though I wouldnt let them play because it does get soggy and will probably break pieces off after a while.
