Fantastic
Fantastic product. I love the way Chaga Pure and Simple responds quickly to orders, unlike other companies I won't name, who are unresponsive. The chaga chunks are "things" of beauty; and their medicinal effect is profound, palpably profound. For me, the key was investing in a small crock pot. I wasn't wild about the idea of leaving my stove-top on for 8 hours; but when I purchased a 1.5 quart crock pot, woo-hoo! That was the key. The excellent instructions provided by Pure and Simple helped a lot; I even love the perfect-for-storing bag they send the chaga in. Now I prepare the chaga chunks in my crock pot around 11:00 p.m.; and next morning, around 8:00 a.m., like magic I have extraordinarily great-tasting, supremely nutritional chaga to drink! No need to make the chunks smaller in any way. Just follow the directions provided and it's easy! I earnestly love this product and will continue to order from Pure and Simple.

This is high quality Chaga Mushroom chunks! I will be buying more!
This is high quality Chaga Mushroom chunks! It is well worth the price! It arrived with the Chaga chunks intact. I have tried other Chaga Mushroom chunks that were sold cheaper on ebay, with free shipping harvested from Maine and Vermont. But this Chaga is harvested on the east side of Canada, and is shipped from Maine. It tasted way better and made me feel better than the others I have tried.Others selling Chaga will remove the black melanin rich part of the Chaga chunks. Which is a no no! But this Chaga company leaves it on so I can the full benefits and medicinal goodness!I will definitely be buying more of this when I run out :)

Superior Quality!
My first time buying from chagaforsale.com though I have been making my own “Chaga” soda for more than 5 years. I can wholeheartedly verify these are AMAZING chunks, definitely hand harvested and broken up. They claim to snowshoe and snowmobile into the wild to harvest. I believe it seeing the chunks, fresh, great color, black on the chunks, not machine handled. These are seriously the best chunks I have bought! They have the required black outer layer. I actually heard about Chagaforsale.com while on a search to replace my previous supplier (Longevity Warehouse) who was once again out; a regular occurrence. So I came to Amazon to find wild harvested in Canada Chaga chunks. Reading the reviews of another product, one guy said to check out Chagaforsale.com. I found them on Amazon (they let their web domain expire in 2018 - so don’t feel concerned if you don’t find their website). I purchased and received today my chunks. They are fantastic. Believe me, I have been drinking for over seven years. I recognize quality. Totally stoked to have found this supplier.

Healthy, pure chaga, ready to brew into tea! (see update on price change
I'm leaving my original review intact down below, but I am editing to mention a HUGE price increase over the last few years. I've purchased from this vendor five times, and still love their product, but I'm going to look for equivalent quality in a lower price from another vendor. My order in 2017 was 16 oz for $25.50 which is $25.50/lb.My order in 2018 arrived at 8 ounces for $29.95 or $60/lb.My order this week (no indication when I "reordered" presumably the same product) was FOUR ounces for $16.99, or $69 per pound! This is outrageous - both the price increase and the fact that the package has shrunk to a 1/4 of a pound.----------------------------------------------I've been using Chaga to make tea for several months and discovered this brand when I was searching Amazon. It's a 1 lb bag of chunks that can be re-used up to 5 times (just store the chunks in the fridge between uses). I simmer 4-5 chunks in a half gallon of water for several hours then let it cool and pour it into the tea pitcher.Chaga is considered to be a mushroom as it grows on birch trees, but it looks and feels like hard cork. It's harvested from Canadian forests and packed and shipped from Maine. I try not to buy items grown, harvested, packed or shipped from China or other countries where quality control and pesticide use isn't controlled.Chaga is caffeine free but I notice it gives me an energy boost after drinking a big cup of the cold tea. Chaga is high in anti-oxidants, boosts the immune system, helps the liver detox, and it's thought to help fight cancer cells and diabetes. It's also a good source of minerals, niacin and B-vitamins.I especially like this brand because it comes in small chunks with a lot of the black outer bark on it. It comes in a paper bag, although I would prefer a zip-top mylar bag. I'll buy this one again!

I ordered this product previously and really enjoyed it. It was in a 1-pound bag at a pretty good price. When I re-ordered, I noticed that the price had dropped a few dollars, but I didn't notice that the description had changed from a 1-lb bag to an 8-oz. bag. My bad for not catching the change. So, five stars for being good quality product and fast delivery, three stars for value. It's not the bargain that I remembered.
