My go to. Love this stuff. Perfect weight on short hair. Not greasy or inflexible--creates the right texture and kills fluff.

I've used hairbalm for maybe 2 years now and it's expensive but I love it. One bottle lasts me a while and I have a LOT of hair and definitely use more than the bottle recommends. It helps give my waves some definition, my hair feels softer, and it smells great (to me). I comb it through my hair with my fingers when my hair is damp but not wet and then let it air dry. It provides a bit of hold at first but once my hair gets pretty dry, I can loosen it all up and my hair looks great. Definitely recommend!

This product is incredible! I experimented with different ways to apply it and what worked best for me (long slightly wavy fine color treated hair but a lot of it) I mix hair balm and dressed up together and apply to damp hair, twist it up clip it till it’s dry then use a curling wand to shape my hair. Dressed up has heat protection and sometimes I’ll add a little more with moist hands especially if I’ve slept on it. This combo holds for days. Before bed I’ll wet my hand one small pump and scrunch up so the ends get much needed moisture. Same thing in the morning and my hair looks like I completely restyled almost like it has a memory. There is no build up- some days I need more others it’s less like in dry cooler days. I live in Florida and finding hair solution’s is especially challenging! Love every product- but this with dressed up add shine, define wave and your hair looks better and better till wash day. Play with it!

They say this and only this can define your curls. Having been a member of the Curly Girl Method collective for going on 20 years, I decided to put all my products down and test it out. Washed with New Wash original, put in a pea sized amount of balm to wet but not soaking hair. I brushed it out with my denman brush, scrunched and diffused. Came out beautiful in the immediate aftermath. My hair feels weightless and finally has the movement and VOLUME Ive spend $$$ trying to achieve. I put in in my silk bonnet and slept on it, it looks pretty much the same the next day at work. I spritzed a little water on it and shook it out but that's it! Will definitely a bit more product and maybe little gel since I like to go several days between washes and I need more hold, but yeah i'd say this worked pretty well.

This stuff is amazing!!! Either in almost dry or damp hair, work it through (not heavy on the roots) and there is ZERO frizz and my naturally fluffy and frizzy hair is completely tamed! I bought 4 of them just in case (as we all know that sometimes stuff gets discontinued). I ADORE this stuff. It is more like a very lightweight clay then anything, it simply does not get crunchy!! BEST PRODUCT EVER for frizzy, fluffy, fly away hair. I'm a white girl with very "big" hair and this tames it. It does not make it dry faster (but nothing does), but it makes my hair look and feel amazing. The scent is ok, not bad, but not the best, but who cares when it works this well!

I absolutely love Hairstory's hair balm. At least my hair always feeling soft but not weighted down. I can literally go 3 to 4 days without washing my hair but still put some of this on my hair every day while I'm styling it and it never builds up. The smell is amazing. I am able to Mold pieces of my hair anyway I like to And easily change up the style day after day

I would characterize my hair type to be fine with a small amount of natural wave to it. I have to be careful with hair products weighing down my hair. I also have to be careful about them making my scalp oily. This product was pointless. It feels like hand lotion before I put it in my hair and the smell was extremely pungent. It weighted my hair down just a little bit. It did not make it very greasy. But it did nothing for me. My hair would be better off with no product in it. It did not help with frizziness. It did not help with my little bit of natural waviness. It did not help with anything. I saw an ad for this and was really hoping it would be a great product. So I bought it on Amazon so it would be an easy return if it was worthless and it was. It really bummed me out. Hope this helps someone else.
