My cat didn’t love the vet subscription special diet food and I needed a low carb, high protein one for her. She doesn’t even like pates all that much except if they are soft enough (not the firm gelatinous kind.) I like this food for her. It’s more appropriate for cats ingredient wise without grains and fillers and unknown by-products or soy and I can easily break it up with a spoon for her plus I swish a little water in the can to get the juices and add that too. She happily eats a whole can twice a day as her meals. The box it comes in is also nice for storage- it’s light and thin and visually pleasant enough that I just keep them in it. It folds well for recycling too. I give a few varieties of the naturals flavors to mix it up for her. I recommend getting them at the store as singles first if your cat has strong preferences because she wouldn’t eat certain flavors of it so I only got cases of what I knew she liked. She is doing well with this food and I am happy to use subscribe and save for it. It costs about $65 a month to feed her this which at this time(Spring 2024) is a good value. A can is close to 100 kcals a day which is higher than the gravy foods she used to eat and close to the vet suggested amount for her. I think this is a good canned option. It also seems fresh. The fish flavored smell is noticeably fishy. It doesn’t cause fishy breathe. My cats breathe is undetectable to me when she eats this. This is probably the closet to a raw fed diet of any canned cat food we’ve tried both in the limited ingredients and the positive results of her wellbeing. I recommend and will continue to feed it. Edit: I am on my last case before my next shipment and found that multiple of the lower level cans are really dented. I wouldn’t knowingly purchase dented cans like these, especially not with the seal busted which I won’t feed, so I will be in touch with Amazon about this. There wasn’t anything noticeable from the external packaging. The box is very thin so it could be from shipping and the plastic wrapped around it covers it so you can’t see. It’s rare to see such dented cans of food in store. Still recommend the food, assuming this was a one time thing and shipments henceforth are all fine and useable.

Half of my felines love this particular brand of cat food, and I'm not surprised, because it's fish, and they love it. One of my fussier ones will not touch it, because he loves gravy based food. This food being a pate' has a somewhat solid texture, but it obviously tastes good, because they clean their plate fairly quickly.

My senior, toothless cat seems to love these. My vet recommended that I feed my fussy cat anything that includes "whitefish" - I have been serving this for dinner, and my cat cleans the bowl. Once in a while, I treat my cat by mixing in some bonito flakes - which I also bought on Amazon. What I bought and am reviewing are the small cans - this won't be a full meal for some cats. I recommend!

Our two cats don't seem to like this. I am disappointed because one of them has a little asthma, so I was hoping to improve their cat food to decrease the possibility of allergens. They have been eating the same brand but not the "natural" type. The one with the asthma is doing quite well, so I suppose we will just switch back. They are just leaving a lot of it on their plates. They eat maybe 1/3 of their serving. Ugh!! I have never thought of them as picky eaters, but they've been eating the same food for many years. And they are usually enthusiastic about breakfast.
