We have a 6 month old pup, lab/aussie shepherd mix, that loves to bark at cats. We also have six cats so you can imagine our dilemma. I started looking for no bark solutions that do not involve shock! As a shock collar was out of the question for us! I came across this product, it had good reviews (I'm am always suspicious of too many good reviews) so we decided for the amount of money, it was worth the gamble to mitigate her barking. The collar came about a week ago and we’ve only put it on her during what we call the witching hours (between 6pm and 9pm) and only when she is indoors. That being our choice on how we wanted to use this collar. The first night she was a bit confused on where the sounds was coming from when she barked, we think she thought it was her shadow. She got it to vibrate a few times also that first night, she would freeze and tilt her head slightly. Now, about a week later, we only put the collar on during the witching hour when she is barking excessively, usually at a cat. She has probably worn the collar for a total of 6-7 hours since we got it. Last night she was barking at one of our cats in the laundry room and would not stop. I grabbed the collar from the counter, and put it on her. She stopped immediately after the collar was on her and the cat was still in front of her in the laundry room. She wore it for about 30 mins and completely settled down so we took it off and she was fine the rest of the night. She has learned quickly not to bark when this collar is put on her. This product really has worked for us and allowed us to feel good about it as it is a more humane way to deal with her excessive barking at times. Just to set the record straight, she is not an excessive barking dog all day and night….She uses her bark to communicate with us outside and we’re good with how she does it. She does not go crazy at all...We only use it because she was barking excessively when she encounters a cat in our house…which can and will be frequently, especially as the cates get more comfortable with her. The collar has sounded off a few times after she has settled down and was no longer barking or wimping, at least not that I could hear. We keep the sensitivity to the lowest setting so not sure why it has triggered a few times. I do not normally post a review of anything I buy, and I buy a lot, but I just wanted to make sure this review is a fair and honest assessment. Put it this way, if this collar stopped working a year from now, I’d buy another one, hands down! But then again, I may not need to as she has already learned when it goes on her to stop barking! Every dog it different and it may not work for some of the dog out there but it absolutely has been working for our dog and it worked really fast for us! It was a great purchase!

Could not be more pleased and amazed. We have a great dog with aTERRIBLE barking problem. (9mo Irish Terrier.) Was driving us crazy and tried many things to stop her. Lot’s of frustration all around. (Including our neighbors to be sure!) We have an invisible fence and wanted a solution that would not confuse her with her boundary training. (She learned that system very quickly and never gets a correction because she knows her boundaries perfectly.) We first tried a citronella collar but never got the device to function properly and returned it. (I was never thrilled with idea of citronella spaying her in the face anyway...luckily she was never sprayed.) Tried this collar as an alternative. Charged the collar... put it on her... she stopped her barking instantly. Instantly. Same day... done. She went from barking LOUD and LONG and FREQUENTLY to not barking at all. In the last 4days she has barked a single bark here and there and stops. She has a favorite dog nemesis that she used to start barking at 1/2 block before our house until he and his owner got 1/2 block past us. Now she does one quick bark and still follows with great interest as they pass by ... but no barking. She is not nervous or seemingly disturbed in any way by the correction (an audible beep) but is happy and contentedly bouncing around the yard. We truly cannot believe that the fix was this easy and this effective. Raised many dogs and this has been our worst barker. Will update review if anything changes or the effectiveness wears off overtime or she starts to ignore it... but for now an enthusiastic 5star BRAVO from us! A miracle.

stays charged for over a week. It beeps and buzzes when dog barks - and occasionally when someone sneezes loudly. Doesn't inspire our dog to stop barking immediately, but does slow him down.

UPDATE- After wearing the collar for a month, it no longer worked to curb her barking. The vibrate ended up being almost like a message for her. She barked up a storm as the thing continued to give her a gentle message. The collar now lies in the excess dog bin. But I want to stress that I'm not saying it's any fault of the manufacturer or the collar itself. I'm sure it works for other dogs great. ORIGINAL REVIEW - ..but honestly she is adorable but her excessive barking was not! 4am she's up barking at the other sleeping dogs wanting to play. She gets barking then the lab starts barking and before you know it you can't hear yourself think! I bought this anti bark collar from reading others review on it. I didn't want something that shocked her like some torture device, but a little rattle, a small bump if you will..I think she hates the noise more than the actual vibration. And the battery lasts forever! She's had it on constant for over a week without charging! Oh yeah, and no more 4am bark fests!

The collar works and may be good for certain dogs but there is no way to select beeping OR vibration. When the dog barks, the collar will beep 3 times THEN start vibrating twice with each vibration lasting about 2 seconds with a pause in between. This is a total of 7 seconds of correction. If your dog gets the hint with the beep and stops barking, the dog will continue to be corrected by the collar for at least 5 more seconds which can cause the dog to develop anxiety or shut down. If your dog is sensitive or quickly responsive to correction, you may want to look at other options.

Breed: Australian Shepherd Bark Type: Unbelievably loud and piercing to the ear Collar has been used for 6 weeks. Collar was effective for 3 weeks until the collar began malfunctioning (it has not been damaged or exposed to water); it frequently does not activated when she barks and falsely activates when her dog tags jingle. She has become desensitized to the vibration now. I’m outside of the return window, unfortunately. Prior to this, the collar was AMAZING. She went from barking 200+ times a day to less than 5 a day. When she did bark, it was much quieter than ever before. Not only that, but she was more calm in all situations. I finally could take her on a walk without worrying about what we might encounter. Overall, I’m happy I bought this collar despite its current issues, but I am on the market again for a better option. Additional comments: - In six weeks of constant use, I have only charged the collar twice. - When the collar was tightened to allow only two fingers of space (as per instructions), it caused my dog to gag/dry heave when collar activated. Not cool. - Other dogs do NOT like the beep or vibration. I remove the collar while in the prescence of other dogs and loud noises (like having guests over). When the collar was removed and still effective, she remained quiet while the collar was off! Whoo! - Excess collar length just flaps in the wind. There is no way to tuck it in; you must cut the excess off. - Durability is good. There are only a few pock marks from her claws while scratching her neck.

How do I know this doesn't hurt? Because of course I tried it on myself first. Ha ha. It does definitely bother my dog when it goes off (and I can even just sit it by the door because his barking will still set it off!) but it doesn't produce a shock. I think the noise is just very offensive to him. I did put the plastic things over the prongs because my dog has a very long, lux coat. My friend bought another brand which said it was no-shock and it shocked her little dog so badly she almost fell down the stairs. So I'm very glad that this one truly does not produce a shock.

Our 8-month old Sheltie discovered her voice recently and started barking at everything from our neighbors to the sprinkler heads in our ceilings. So much so, in fact, that we received a warning from animal control. The first couple of days, this collar appeared to be very effective. Our dog would bark, the beeping would interrupt her and, occasionally when she continued barking, the vibration totally confounded her and she stopped barking. However, after a couple of days, her bark has come back and, if anything, more energetically and noisily. I'd love to give this product a better review as it's well made, easy to use, comes complete with accessories and is well priced, but it doesn't seem to be working for us. In fact, after a few days of usage, we're somewhat convinced the collar itself is making our dog bark. Perhaps it's just not sufficient for natural barkers, like sheepdogs? If the seller has recommendations on what we should do, we'd most appreciate knowing them and if they make a difference, we'd be pleased to update this review.

I have had wonderful results with this device. The collar has virtually eliminated my dogs barking issues. I now am enjoying my walks with my two dogs. When we see other dogs I no longer worry about them engaging in unwanted behaviour. They are still learning but I am hoping they will be trained fully soon. I am at a point now that when I put the collar on they know that it will beep and vibrate and they settle down immediately. I liked the device so much I purchased a second. I did have an issue with one that was vibrating but not beeping. I contacted customer service at Dog Rook and they are sending me a new collar hassle free. Great collar and great service you can’t ask for more. An update. I had problems with my device contacted customer service and replaced my old device with a new one. The replacement is their new model. It appears sturdier and the strap is thicker. The instructions on use are more detailed. The controls have changed but are just as easy to use.

This collar is worth every penny. Have a dog that goes nuts in the car... She lets it rip every time I step out any pedestrians/cyclists near the car etc Tried few different bark collars. ie the ones you load up with citronella/ atomized air were useless as she continued to bark until it ran empty. Then there was another one that would go off when there was wind and the most random external sounds... this one is the only one that's worked. My dog responded to it immediately. Now she just lies down in the car calm and relaxed. I like that it has a beep warning prior to the vibration such that it allows the dog to correct their behavior with just a beep.. The best $40 ever spent. To note: the vibration is not harsh/harmful.. its just like putting cell phone on vibrate mode.

As the title said, it was incredible how it worked well at first. My dog just stopped barking. He didn’t seem to have any discomfort or anything. I even tried it on myself before installing it on my dog and it was pain free. Anyhow, after a month or so, he started to realize that nothing else would happen so he started to bark freely. Now I hear the dog bark, the sound of the collar and the vibration, so I remove it and it’s collecting dust in the closet.

J'ai reçu le colis en 2 jours ce qui est super!! Utilisation facile heureusement car rien en français quel dommage!! Il fonctionne relativement bien, de temps en temps ne semble pas capter le gapement par contre. Mon chien gape beaucoup moins par contre donc je peux dire que je suis satisfaite tout de même. Bonne qualité et semble robuste, je n'ai pas essayer sous l'eau encore par contre à suivre....il est arriver pleine charge donc utilisation immédiate possible. Reçu le 26 au matin et à toujours de la batterie le 27 a 12h , c'est bien!!! Je recommande le produit sans estimation jusqu'à présent!!

I did not think these would work. I was 100% sure they wouldn't, but I figured I'd try. It works. It worked almost immediately. Nothing else has worked even a tiny little bit. I'm so freaking jazzed and relieved. Thank you!
