Great Device -- Nearly Flawless!!
The top critical review for this device is nonsense. You absolutely CAN do a remote reset with this device. That is its' purpose and it does this wellOver the years I have purchased FIVE of these devices. I've seen improvement in each version. The EZ-72b is the best version yet. It literally took less than 5 minutes to get this device configured and working in the app. You just plug into the same network of the device you're using, then SCAN, and it adds this device to the app. Very easy. The device is very configurable. You can set device name, various time parameters, and how it pings. I would recommend disabling SHUTDOWN. Should you accidentally shutdown the device remotely you must physically return to the device to turn it back on because this kills your internet. However, the RESET function works perfectly to power down/power Up your modem/router.I have Comcast and if the internet goes down, you must do a power reset on the modem to restore internet service. This device performs this task flawlessly. It is the perfect solution, especially when away from home.I give this device my unconditional endorsement. It's a great device!!

Does exactly what is says, bonus points for having a LAN web interface instead of a proprietary app
This worked perfectly for my use case of a finicky cable modem. Can be set to ping a URL or an IP, one they preset or one you configure yourself, or you can access the device over the network and reset it manually.Extremely happy for the control/config page accessible via web browser from any device on the LAN, instead of an app than can only be used on my phone and will be "upgraded" to no longer work with this model in a year or two.

Fairly easy & effective, but died after 3 years
Bought an EZOutlet3 in 2021. Took some initial setup, but was able to set it & forget it and it worked seamlessly for 3 years. Then had a power outage and despite being on a power strip with surge protector, it died. No lights. Replacing the fuse didn't help either. Looks like there is no warranty that I can find either.

Successful solution for scheduling turning net work WAPS on/off every day.
Purchased this unit so that I could minimize the EMF in our home while we were sleeping. We have five WAPs (Wireless Access Points) that were active all the time via a POE switch. The easiest solution to turning the WAPs on/off each day was to drop power to the POE switch. The ONLY real solution I could find for this was the ezOutlet5.It did require some patience to work through the unit's web-page, but ultimately it worked perfectly. Unit comes with a helpful "template" for wall mounting. Most small devices like this do NOT come with a template for screw placement, so this was helpful. The unit found my wireless network with no problem, and connected to the WEB without any problems.Finding and working with the "schedule" portion of the set-up took a minute, because the unit is really engineered primarily to re-set a cable box or modem to re-establish COMS with an ISP. I am sure it does that well, but in my case I wanted to use the "schedule feature" to solve the EMF problem.Did not need to contact technical support.Very good value for the money, in my opinion.

Worthless for manual reboots
For manual use for occasional modem/router problems, this is worthless. You must have internet access to run the incredibly crappy app, and it apparently has to be the network the switch is on. But if my modem/router is having problems, THERE IS NO INTERNET. Let it access bluetooth without logging in for crying out loud.Scheduled reboots work fine, but 'gee, nets down, I'll do a quick reset' still means going into the room, unplugging and re-plugging. Trash.

Just installed; works fine
Just received my unit. Was surprised to learn that a log (presumably of restarts, etc.) and notifications (email or text) are only available if you purchase a $60 subscription. That was not mentioned anywhere in the description and that is the reason for 3 starts instead of 5. Using the iPhone App, I was able to setup and test a scheduled restart and a wifi ping restart. Testing the scheduled restart was just a matter of waiting until the restart time and verifing it worked (it did). I pulled the plug on the unit and verified my settings were restored. On my unit, the default ping-fail action was OFF -- that's NOT WHAT YOU WANT -- you want it Restart. I lengthened the ping timeout to several minutes (incase the ISP burps) and I set the restart delay to 30 seconds to give everything time to shutdown before power comes back up. My ASUS wifi router has a "WiFi off" button which allowed me to easily test the ping restart. The UI took some time to understand (don't forget to hit Save after all changes!); particularly getting the Time page setup (set the control to check the time every hour or so).Net: the device seems to work fine. I'm very disappointed they didn't tell us having a log (so you know if/how many restarts there have been) and getting notices costs $5 per month but I'll probably sign up.NOTE: if you go to the vendor's page, you'll see several other interesting devices.

A great product!
I had a smart plug that worked well, until I updated my routers to Wifi 6 routers. Then, it would no longer find the SSID to connect to the router. So, I found another smart wifi reboot plug, but it was horrible. I decided to spend a few more $$$ to purchase this one and am extremely happy with it! It works exactly as it should and the ability to customize the configuration settings and access the plug from remote locations is awesome! It's one of those things you set it and forget it. Then when it actually does the job it was meant to do, you really appreciate it. I love that it's highly configurable. Just a great product for the money!
