I bought my first Zinus mattress in 2016 here on Amazon and still have it till this day. Almost 10 years later. So it’s no surprise that I had to come back for another when it was time to upgrade. My entire home has the Zinus experience and we just love these mattresses. The firmness never ceases to amaze me, and unlike other brands, I’ve never experienced uncomfortable sinking or that awkward bounce, you get just the right balance of spring and support. I can still have my tray of water or wine on one side (when it’s empty) and encounter zero spillage from my movements. Even after years of use, there’s no noise or creaking. Heat level has also been great; it doesn’t trap warmth the way some foam mattresses do, so sleeping stays comfortable year-round. I guess all of this proves Zinus packs in the right functionality to make it the ideal mattress, durable, reliable, and consistently comfortable

I purchased this mattress as part of plan to redo my room. I’ve had he mattress since July 2023 so here’s my rating so far: 1. I purchased on sale and was really unsure of what I was going to get. 2. Mattress came vacuum sealed in box that I could manage on my own if I had to. 3. Make sure (if you purchase) to put it on the bed when you’re ready to unseal because it begins to expand as soon as the seal is released. 4. I was really surprised and impressed at the quality of this mattress. I was nervous b/c my previous mattress was over 18” and this was only 13”. It expanded the moment we began to release the seal. It said to allow 24 hours for full expansion and I did, but I do think I could have slept on it that night because it expanded very quickly. The mattress was soft to the touch and had just the right amount of firmness for sleeping (for me). I was hesitant about purchasing a mattress online as that’s not something I would normally do but I decided to try to see what happened and I was not disappointed. I have slept well, and the mattress (so far) seems to be holding up as well as a store bought mattress. I don’t sit on the edge of the bed that often so I can’t attest to if will sag or not. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this mattress is and to its quality. I would purchase again.

I bought this mattress during the Prime Day event and I am so happy I did. I have been in need of a replacement mattress for years so keep in mind, I was coming from a place of sleep misery. I would wake up several times through the night, reposition and desperately try to fall back asleep. My lower back almost always hurt and I hated life. Unfortunately for me, I had to wait a little longer for my platform frame to be delivered. FINALLY, I got to set my new best friend up and I am so happy. I had the best night's sleep. I had spent the previous day moving all of my furniture and purging my mini-hoard. To say I was sore was an understatement, everything hurt by the time I was done. One long, hot shower and one long night's sleep in this beauty had me feeling like a teenager again!!! The set up was a breeze. I opened the box and it was wrapped in a butt ton of celepahne. Once I freed the mattress she started to immediately shape despite being vacuum sealed. I accidentally laid it upsidedown when I got it on my platform. It is heavy so the flipover was a little rough, you need 2 people, but it was almost immediately ready for me to hop in. I almost got box springs but I am so glad I didn't; it would have been a wasted expense and I would have ended up needing a ladder to get into bed. I love the height, love the quality and LOVE THE SLEEP!!!!!!

I needed a new bed for an apartment, where do I start? One friend recently found a good deal at mattress firm and another friend bought a zinus mattress from Amazon. I went to mattress firm to see what was there and it waaay out of budget. So went to my friends house to check out here bed and it was nice. I could not believe what came from a box... So I tried to order the same but it was out of stock and I needed one asap... So I purchased this one, same company as hers. The box arrived in decent shape. It was heave, but not as heavy as the frame I ordered to go with it. I let the mattress decompress after opening it for 2 days. I had back surgery a few years ago, I life a firm mattress. This one is not as firm as I would think I want, but it more than firm enough. Medium plus. I have no issues sleeping on it. The middle edge will sink some when you sit on it, getting up this morning I notices... But the ends are firm and the corners are firm. The mattress makes no noise from the springs or anything. From sleeping to other things you do on a bed, I have no complaints. I was on the fence, waited around, worried about me messing up my back more being cheap. That was not the case. I am actually very, very happy and surprised with the bed. I give it 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations. I am sleeping comfortably and do not feel bad about my purchase. I let my budget lead and this time, it was right. Makes me really think about the overpriced mattress market. The other really expensive mattresses are nice, but you will pay 8 times or more what I paid here for one. I have no regrets and WILL buy again.

As a man of gravity (approaching 300lb) I look for a mattress that’s decidedly on the firm side. I can’t speak for everyone, but this was exactly what I was looking for to provide firm (but still comfortably soft) support. Out of the box, the top layer of foam did look rumpled and lumpy beneath the mattress cover. But by the end of the first night, everything was settled and smooth. (Make sure to let it unroll and rise fully in one place before trying to move it - I think trying to move it while it was expanding was my mistake.) After just one night, I feel more rested than I have in years of sleeping in memory foam and soft “hybrid” mattresses. It doesn’t seem to sleep hot - I’m like a space heater but this passed the sweat test in a 74° room. Dry and comfortable all night. For my weight, this mattress is great in any sleep position: side, stomach and back all feel natural. It has just enough sink so that my behind is flush with my spine if I’m on my back, which no mattress has ever managed to do for me before. If you’re on the lighter side, this might not be the same for you, but again, just speaking for my own size. The quilted top doesn’t have large divots like some mattresses, and the top layer of foam is just thick enough to feel plush without the marshmallow/quicksand feel of the Zinus memory foam mattresses. Great edge support too - sleeping on my side it felt stable right up to the edge. I wouldn’t sit on it to put my shoes on, though… it smashes flat under my weight in a sitting position. All in all, an extraordinary mattress for the price, and one I hope to keep for years. Hope this helps, big dudes!

Function/ comfort: I have used this mattress for about six months now. At this point, I am literally sleeping in a hole in the middle of the mattress and it continues to rapidly deteriorate. In just the past couple weeks, I went to no longer using a pillow because I sink so far down inside the mattress, I just use the edge of the hole I am sleeping in as a "pillow." To turn over in the night, I have to do a pushup to push myself out of the hole to turn over. Hard to imagine, but this Zinus mattress is worse than sleeping on the floor. I wondered if there is a warranty for this portable sinkhole, so I called Zinus. The first several times, it really appeared they simply refuse to take calls by using an AI phone tree that denies all calls. But after calling multiple times, I realized it's just a terrible quality system (could this be a pattern?) Pro tip: the phone tree asks if you purchased from Amazon- if you say yes, they immediately hang up on you. I call back and said I just want to talk about mattresses, and the robot says "Sorry, I can't help you with that" and again immediately hung up, etc. So, after saying, "Buy a mattress" repeatedly, I finally reached a person to inquire about the warranty: The Bottom Line: The decision to issue a replacement mattress will be made by sending Zinus a picture of the mattress taken with no sheet or object on the bed. If an observable 1.5 inch sag can be noted, then they will issue a replacement, which takes a week. (Note: They pointedly have no interest in my actual experience with the bed, and or any pictures of me actually in the quicksand mattress of death.) However, Zinus has no pickup service for the old mattress, so the responsibility to dispose of the giant CalKing- sized piece of used bubble gum is mine. So, while the prospect of getting a replacement terrible-quality mattress from Zinus and the joy of watching their delivery workers simply walk away from my current La Brea Tar Pit-style mattress because "they don't do that" is tempting... In closing, I shared my unique view with Zinus customer service that if a company saddles a customer with a (unwieldy, impossible to carry) lemon, they should recognize the significant imposition on that customer and take steps to make it right. Zinus thanked me for this new, deep insight that I provided to them and promised that they would consider it, so that perhaps in the future some other person who absolutely wastes their money on a Zinus product will no longer be burdened with how to dispose of said item. This was recommended by a friend, so we purchased this for our guest room. It is firm although it feels soft to the touch. It is for my 78-yr old father who's had 3 back surgeries and wanted a firm mattress when he visits. Once you get in bed, it is difficult to turnover to a new position. He likes it but I tried sleeping in it several times now and after an hour, I wake up feeling sore in my hips (I'm a side sleeper). After 6 months, there is still a slight smell from the materials inside. I aired it out for a good week and have a mattress protector underneath the fitted sheet. The other odd thing is how heavy it is, difficult to lift up the corners to get the sheets tucked. Overall, I have buyer's remorse buying a mattress online without trying it first. Good price and delivery, just not my preferred mattress.
