SHURFLO 4008-101-A65 New 3.0 GPM RV Water Pump Revolution, 12V

Exact replacement for original in my trailer. I know that TT are known to be a bit cheap and I've had to replace my AC and the awning on my 2022 TT is "off" when it almost shuts. My pump has never been right, the first time I winterized I had to "encourage" it to get the antifreeze to flow and when sanitizing in the spring it took a rubber hammer knock and unscrewing the pipe to release the vaccum, and the next winterizing took 5 gallons, no way for a 22ft TT! This year the pump was running, as usual, but after 6 gallons, nothing. Looked to replace the check valve, but read a few reviews about the replacement being off center, and mine was on center. So I called the pump company ( CALL PENTAIR NOT SHUREFLO! The guy at Shurflo has the number to Pentair and nicely let me know I was not the first one to make this error). Turns out Pentair does not sell replacement parts and he sugessted & gave me the number for the top assembly part that has the switch but it didn't seem to have the entire check valve part that I needed, I could be wrong. The pump came the day before we went below freezing, just in time, installed just fine, I ran it and saw pink WAY before I ever did in the past. EXCELLENT! Can't wait for spring to hit the road. Works perfectly, arrived in great shape. It is also quiet while operating and the flow rate is fantastic.

Tested the pump today, and it was quite and delivered the right water pressure, glad it was easy to install.

This pump is a perfect replacement for the old pump in my Roadtrek SS Agile 19ft. It was easy to install. This new pump is working well.

This is a basic RV water pump; 12V, 7.5A, 3GPM,55 PSI automatic cutoff switch. Wiring is simple - red positive, black negative (ground). There are one water intake and one output. The pump requires an input strainer to remove particulates, and uses threaded connections that convert to barb-type connections for flexible 1/2" water tubing. I bought the unit to replace one of the same model that failed after 12 years of use when the steel machine screws connecting the pump body to the aluminum motor housing stripped out the threaded receiving holes in the motor housing. Steel screws will do that in aluminum, especially in high vibration environments like an RV on lousy back-country roads. I was astonished that the previous unit lasted as long as it did under my use - some of the worst Forest Service and BLM "roads" of Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. So I was fine with using the same model as a replacement. Although I can recommend this pump, I give it only 4 stars due to the design flaw of using steel machine screws to attach the pump to the aluminum motor housing. And I'll remember to check those screws periodically from now on.

Replaced this Shurflo with the original Shurflo that came with the RV. That pump had lived a long life (17 years) and finally up and had enough. Replacing Shurflo with Shurflo was easy as the old plumbing connections fit perfectly. I'd read reviews about not having the connectors as part of the sale package, so wasn't worried. Pump installed easy, pretty much same size as old one. Wiring was easy. It self primed and pumped fine with good pressure. Runs very quiet. I did have problems with pump running continuously and not cycling off. Researched that, was ready to adjust the pressure switch, but when I tried it this morning, it had self corrected. I think you have to let the pump run for several minutes to get to the right pressure to cycle off. Works fine now. Happy with the product now; only time will tell how long it lasts.

Second one worked wonderfully. The first one I received was damaged during shipping and though it didn't show any signs it pumped water out of the vent holes. I had a replacement the next day and it worked as advertised. Thank you so much.

The fit was spot on making the replacement a five minute operation for my particular camper. It was surprisingly quieter than expected and certainly more so than the original.
