Does this have a choppy lobe and sound like the motor has been cammed

Hey James, this camshaft will have a bit of lope to it. The performance characteristics note that this cam has "Good street performance with stock converter, choppy idle."

Is this suitable for a 1999 chevy k1500 suburban 5.7 vortec?

That cam is not the correct one for that engine. It is a factory hydraulic roller engine. I would recommend our 08-300-8. We also offer it in a SK08-300-8.

Lifters were no good. Bought sealed power and they clatter too.

Will not fit 1966 442

This cam and lifters WILL NOT fit a 1966 oldsmobile 442. A 442 has larger lifters than the regular 6.6 LTR. The 442 lifters are .921 inch in diameter where these lifters are .842. Good luck and be careful if you have a 442. This ad is not someone trying to scam but when you have a rare car you need to go through professional. Many people do not know this fact.
