Soft Grip Handle Peeler, Gray and Black

I have been using the basic Ecko style parers for many decades and have always been satisfied with their ease of use and performance. I have tried the OXO but the handle was too large and uncomfortable for me. The "Y" peelers didn't feel right. After reading the reviews I ordered a Jonas metal handle model and the newer plastic handle version. The metal version is very light. It seems to be slightly longer than the American models and the slot on the parer is wider which gives a slightly more aggressive cut. The handle is convex which provides a more comfortable grip than my previous peelers. The plastic handle version is the same size, a little heavier (a nice heft) and feels more comfortable in my hand when doing lots of spuds or apples. I use them interchangeably, using the first one I grab in the drawer.

I have about 4 peelers from various companies (over the years). Every time I would have to peel apples or potatoes I would end up trying each of them and they all are annoying. After making my last batch of mashed potatoes, I said enough is enough, I need to find the perfect peeler. I just wanted an old school peeler that swivelled properly but not too much. This one is "the bomb"! It is like the old school peeler, super sharp and way more comfortable to hold. This peeler makes easy work of peeling. Love it! All my other peelers are going to Goodwill. I will probably buy a second one so I can have second hands helping in the kitchen.

Work super well at peeling vegetables and is like a razor so almost no resistance. Simple to clean and comfortable to use. No complaints from me.
