a little bit goes a long way. when i saw the size of the container i thought it was very little for the money. then when i saw what a tiny bit i used to color my 2500 gallon pond i was very impressed. great product.

Wear gloves, or at least make sure hands are dry. It will come off with soap, water and a scrubbie! I wouldn't say it was algae removal though as suggested that popped up with this review.

It is a dark blue shade. It will shade a shallower pond better (In my opinion). When putting this in the water be very careful of wind and dust and open body parts. You will turn blue but if you go wash right away most comes off... ... I ended up going inside the garage and making a gallon of potent mix in water. Then splashed it in. I still got some blue on me but nothing like the dust.

I gave this 4 stars. It is small granules to use in a pond. It may work well in a small koi pond, or like a stock tank pond. However we have a small pond with pan fish in it and it didn’t work well for me.

Very happy with this dye. I use it in a 2500 gallon concrete stock tank. A little goes a long way and I've been impressed with how long it lasts. Wear gloves! No matter how careful I am without gloves, I end up with blue hands. That's not a complaint, just a heads-up.

Just one tiny little scoop using the provided spoon, turned my ~4,000 gallon koi pond a beautiful shade of blue and quickly put a stop to an algae bloom I was having by shading the water. My water has quickly returned to crystal clear (although I also used an algaecide) and I add just maybe a quarter scoop every other week or so to keep it the color I like as the water evaporates or is backflushed out of the filter and replaced. I imagine this little jar will last me a couple of years or more at the rate I am using it.

Works great, just use that little scoop, goes a long way. Jar is small but will last awhile.

It diffidently turns blue, package was opened when it arrived so it did not make it into the pond but I am blue along with my porch and daughter so I would assume it works.

We're only just starting to develop our pond and it's not even full yet, but I bought this product to try and avoid the dreaded blanket of weed developing. Mindful of other reviews I measured a dose of the powder with the spoon provided, wore rubber gloves and chose a very still day to administer it. That tiny amount started to spread through the water instantly and I can well believe that if it got on your clothes or anywhere you didn't want it to be, then that would be a problem, it's a very intense blue. Do read and adhere to the instructions. It's a small tub but a mighty product. If it does inhibit the pond weed I'll be very pleased indeed.

Expensive and comes from US, but if you want a black pond that lasts, then this is it. Last for ages. Bought twice because the missus accidentally chucked one out. Keeps the algae down / unnoticeable

Better than any other dye... once the black fades you get blue.. worth the wait

Didn't turn the water black, just darkened it a bit.
