solid ice sphere
I read some reviews and decided to try it anyway, mine worked really well took a little longer to freeze because Iโm in a motorhome but thatโs fine. I also had a little bigger funnel that fit in the tiny hole above the silicone side. I filled them up till I saw water at the top of the hole., I waited two days, took them out, turned it upside down or the silicone on the bottom. The clear top came right off the ice balls or then stuck in the silicone with my nail. I pushed down a few places on the side of the silicone ball so it could get some air in it . they came out very easily and they seem to be very solid now Iโm just going to see how long they last in a stainless steel vacuum mug, smaller ice cubes have been lasting two full days , by the way, the blue silicone part has like a suction cup around the spheres so the white or clear plastic part should come right off.

Awesome for punch!
I bought this to have decent sized pieces of ice in our punch bowl. They were fantastic. Easy to fill - I just ran water into the holes. The funnels provided took forever. They were nearly 100% spherical and big. I used all six of the ice balls in the punch bowl. I made another batch, but didn't need them. I forgot to take a picture of them, but will do so when I empty the second batch. It's a pretty cool system. Easy to use. Removing the ice was a bit of an effort, but it prived how well the seal was around them. I highly recommend these!

Great ice balls but black design is a flaw
These make perfect ice balls -- I have no idea why people have trouble. You just either run them under water for about 20 seconds or (as the instructions say) leave them sitting out for a few minutes. If you do it that way, they pop right out. Sometimes you need to push on the black silicone with a fingertip or finger nail to release them but it's really easy. The reason I deducted a star is because the black is a bad design. You can't see how full they are when you're adding the water. I bought a second set that was all white/opaque and they were so much easier to fill because you could see the water level and know when they were full. If they're not filled to the top, they don't make complete balls. If they're overfilled, the extra water freezes and it's more difficult to dislodge them. That said, I've gotten used to it and have kept them -- just a small design flaw. Overall, 4/5 stars is pretty good.

Tip for getting perfect spheres-works better than the $$ ones
We have this ice mold and the also the expensive Berlinzo 4 sphere maker for $75. This one is so much easier to use. The ice balls are not crystal clear but after they are in the drink they are. There is a trick to filling them correctly and the secret is after the mold is filled, press down anll anlong the inside the edge (having nails works better since it is a narrow space, and around each little hole between the molds. This keeps any water from escaping during freezing. Then make sure each sphere is filled. Since we learned that, each time works perfect and each one is nice and round.

Doesnโt seal
It does make frozen ice balls, but it doesnโt seal properly so close to 1/2 of them are not full balls, as the water inside the mold has leaked out and into the freezer.

Awesome
While I did give the product a 5 star it didn't receive 5 on easy to use and easy to remove. First off I will say one cube, or should I say "ball" works on two drinks. That is, unless, you babysit your drink for quite sometime. While they are simple to use, filling does take time with the tiny funnels, are very prone to making a mess (thankfully it's just water) and once it close to the top you find out it's completely filled by it spilling out the top. Yeah, yeah, I know "don't fill it up all the way and it won't happen". I feel like I'm defeating the purpose of the oversized ball if I don't fill it up all the way. Secondly, when filled up by half or more the ice can get frozen to the silicon top and be difficult to pop out, due to ice forming around the bottom edges of the silicon and the ball essentially making it "stuck". However, neither of the two items warrant a low rating but I cannot say 5 star. I do love the size of the ice and it does work great!

cumbersome to fill, doesn't leak, plastic on bottom can break easily
By far makes great circular balls of ice compare to others I've seen; however the process is cumbersome. You'll receive two tiny, tiny, tiny funnels to use to fill up the cover. The silicone cover snaps down nicely and prevents side leakage, but when filling up the top portion it's almost impossible to tell when it's full or not and you end up having overfill. No big deal, but you will have ice on outside of form if not dried up prior to putting in freezer; I always have shavings of ice all over the place when removing the top. The top design is silicone and has a formed side to prevent leakage while freezing. Forms a perfect ball, but takes a little effort to remove from the silicone form. The bottom is plastic. I had a tray slide out of the freezer, hit the floor, and one of the "ball" side broke/cracked. I can still use the other 5, but it would be nice if the bottom was also a silicone material instead of plastic. I had frozen them flat of course, but once frozen the tray had been placed on top of other things and it fell out. Make sure to leave in a flat location, because the cold plastic bottom will break.

Great product for real Scotch drinkers
For real Scotch drinkers only, this product is a gem. Bought one for my father in law as well.

The funnel needs to be improved
Good to have 2 funnels. But they are a bit small and you need to pour into water very slowly.

Simple and serves its purpose
This is a cost effective option if you are looking at purchasing an Ice Ball Maker. There are other options out there which allow for a better final product in terms of the ice balls. This does however allow for 6 ice balls to be made quite quickly in a compact design mold.
