Idiots like myself order the wrong product. Yay.
I am sure this thing works great. I am not sure what you'd ever use it for. Do monitors even have an output signal? If so, what purpose would this serve besides mirroring a display? In any case, I needed female RCA plugs, and obviously, this product has male pins. I suppose I should have paid more attention and not assumed its gender. This product is of no use to me, but that is no one's fault but my own. Great job on the shipping, though.

Works on MiSTer Pi analog DE-15 port for component video on CRT televisions
This is the best bang for the buck to connect your MiSTer's DE-15 analog video port (the "VGA" port, though VGA is only one mode for the port) to component/YbPbr inputs on your CRT television. They are NOT colored correctly - the RCA heads are red, white, and yellow. I tested pins 1, 2, and 3 with a continuity tester and determined this for the MiSTer: Red wire = component Red Yellow wire = component Blue White wire = component Green I have the MiSTer Pi mega pack (which uses the A/V Pro 9.2 i/o board). There isn't a physical SoG switch on this version of the i/o board, you have to enable SoG (sync on green) in the settings.ini, enable YpBpR. I also had to disable the vga scaling - that took me a whole lot of trial and error to figure out. You'll have to use a separate audio cable because audio isn't transmitted over this cable. Does Not Work running RCA Camera to VGA monitor!
Tried to run RCA camera to VGA Monitor with this cable. It did not work. I can't even think of what you would actually us this cable for. VGA out to RCA???

Lacks component video cable/connector coloring
Y Pb Pr cable breakout should have green, blue, and red connector plugs or wires. But I received a cable with only red/white/yellow cabling and connector plugs, which makes it confusing to use. Cable quality looks okay, but if it's hard to use, why bother? Returning it. Product arrived from Amazon unsealed, so hopefully not because someone did a switch-a-roo.
