Texas Sage | 3 Live Plants | Leucophyllum frutescens | Drought-Tolerant Shrub for Landscaping | Hardy Evergreen with Silver Foliage and Purple Blooms

Although the plants and root ball were very small, they arrived alive and healthy. I have planted them in a pot and they are alive and slowly growing.

First off, the listing says plants, but these barely qualify as rooted cuttings. They are single stem, less than 3 inches long and have a few roots. At the most expensive nursery I go to in person a 6 pack of a bush this size would run less than ten dollars. If they'd given any indication that they are cuttings not plants, I would never have spent $29. In addition to that, they were packaged poorly, so that the plants got stuck under a box flap and the stems were damaged and most of the dirt came out of 2 of 3, leaving the few roots they have exposed to air. I doubt those two will make it butni planted them all up and will hope for the best.

Two of the three plants were dead and the other was practically just a stick. It is struggling to grow but after a few weeks it is remarkably still alive but has required a lot of TLC.

These three plants arrived healthy and continue to be healthy. My only problem was their size. They were 3inches tall. That really was not how I imagined them, but they are still alive and at some point they will be bigger…

I know these arrive very small but you get three for $30 and at my garden center one is $35 for a pretty good size but mine went from 2 inches tall to over 3 feet tall in just three months! Now I’ve got three way bigger than the garden center sells them for at $35 each. They are beautiful, they anre healthy and I’m loving them. Pic attached. Those are the 3 shrubs in the back row. Super fast growers! Full sun and once established highly drought tolerant! Stands up to my Texas weather and hinder degree days like a champ. I only water maybe once a month if there’s no rain.

Tiny little dudes. One was just a stem. Potted in very small compartments. There is only a tablespoon or so of dirt. They did arrive moist. Here’s hoping two little Guys survive. I potted them and will plant when the outside temperature drops below 100 deg. F.

UPDATE: ALL DEAD. Planted in the same bed as my thriving Texas sages, given the same treatment. In 2 days they looked dead. Tried to revive them. After a week it was obvious they were goners. This plants arrived perfectly packed I unpacked and the plants under a grow light to help them adjust to the Texas heat. They are actually seem to be growing.
