Tuscany Red Ruffle Hand Painted, Ceramic Spoon Rest, 85225 by ACK

Love the size of it, big enough to save the counter from even the largest soup ladle. Nice to have just one spot to put down all the spoons, stirrers, etc and not get food all over. Easy to clean. Matches the rest of the red accents in my kitchen. The black and white edge does not stand out too much for me. It's nice to have!

This looks nice and is of a good size for being able to "rest" more than one spoon at a time. That's the good part. But: it is ceramic; ceramic breaks. (I realize that!) But you would not expect a spoon rest to have the handle break off in the first days after you bought it. The break, perhaps oddly, was absolutely straight and horizontal, near where the handle meets the tray (so-called). I suspect there may have been an invisible stress crack in the handle. Whatever the case, it died a quick death. Whether that will happen in all cases, I have no idea. But: beware!

I love the colors, the design around the edge of the spoon, and the size.

Came broken , terribly packed . The product looked amazing but very disappointing because of poor protection. I tried to order another on but it was out of stock. Work on the packaging please.
