Premium Flat Waxed Cotton Boot Laces - Cobbler's Choice Shoe Laces - Durable and Beautiful!

I really like these laces! I bought a nice pair of boots, but they came with really long laces that were an unfortunate shade of brown. These black waxed cotton laces are perfect and they make my boots look extra classy. When the waxed laces are new they do tend to come untied, but that is easily fixed with a double knot.

Great, bold color and very strong. Appreciate the value for money here, it's a good deal.

Reading other reviews I was concerned that the strings wouldn't appear waxed.The look, color, length is perfect. From the feel they seem to be pretty good quality. We will see how they perform. In the interim i can say. They are EXACTLY what I was looking for. Update: After wearing them a little bit. I noticed they come untied very easy due to the smoothness the wax provides. I believe that'll change with more wear. Other than that I stand by my previous comment. Update 12/30/23 As I suspected with more wears the strings do become slightly less smooth at the tie tension point and I don't have the coming untied issue anymore. This changed long before this update, it didn't take long.

The laces are of excellent quality but the black it's not black it's more like a dark brown I ordered twice the same black laces thinking that the first was a mistake but their both the same not truly black

Oh Wow. These look so sharp. They take a little breaking in so they stay tied. I am already thinking about a nother pair.

Swapping out laces is a relatively cheap and easy way to optimize the look (and laceability) of a pair of shoes. These Cobbler's Choice laces are my go-to's for sneakers and service boots. I have several pairs of the 55" laces that I use with Thursday low top sneakers, Grant Stone Diesel boots, and Red Wing Iron Rangers. With the boots, I find that it makes them look elevated and "Viberg-esque". After some experimentation, I prefer flat cotton laces more than other options: leather, kevlar, thin waxed cotton, etc. The waxing on these has always been somewhat subtle if I recall correctly, but enough to give them a bit of firmness and help them stay tied. Identifying the right color to match the shoe plays a big part in whether they look right together. Sometimes I find same or similar colors look right (brown laces with brown chromexel), and sometimes a contrasting color is in order (light grey laces with black matte leather). Most of the color options I would want are available here. They have been durable for me so far and I have not had to replace any over the 4 years I've been using them.

I assume the other brands with more stars haven't tried these. In my experience the others fail miserably in terms of quality, color and they definitely aren't waxed or at least they don't feel/look waxed. Just take the $10 hit and buy these, others are a waste of time and money.

Looks nice, but doesn't stay tied no matte how hard I tighten. Cannot recommend.
