Ergon Men's SMC Sport Gel Saddle

A saddle that makes the difference, massive improvement over the standard saddle it replaced. As long as the sizing is right for you this is very comfortable, do your research first because everyone is different and depending on your circumstances may or may not be a good fit for you, I for reference am 6ft and weigh between 187-191 pounds

Picked the Ergon saddle based on the quality of their grips, which I’ve used for years. The saddle is the most comfortable I’ve had and been biking for 30 + years!

So far, so good with this saddle. I've not experienced any soft-tissue numbness from riding. The saddle was easy to fit on a Suntour SP12-NCX Suspension Seat as it uses standard 7mm rails.Seems well enough made, although for the price I'd have expected mm positioning marks engraved on the rails for precise adjustment.

After many years, I decided this year was as good a time as any to return to cycling. So, I dug out my old Gary Fisher from 2001, and had it serviced. Unfortunately, this resulted in the destruction of the frame. But that's another story! I originally used a Selle Italia Flite saddle all those years ago, and thought it was just a case of reacquainting myself with it again, but, after a couple of weeks, I wasn't getting anywhere, and I wasn't enjoying the bike rides. After much research, I thought it sensible to try a modern ergonomic saddle, and purchased this Ergon, based upon the recommendation of the Ergon website saddle chooser. First couple of days, it wasn't quite right, and it just felt I couldn't quite get comfortable on it. However after trial and error with positioning, it just became near perfect. It doesn't feel particularly super passed to the touch, but it really is a comfortable platform once positioning is sorted. I would definitely recommend this saddle, although do be aware I wear the dreaded lycra padded shorts with it!

So many saddles out there it is hard to choose. So after some (a lot) research. I chose to put my money on this one. Such a improvement from the specilzed one on the bike. Now I have adjusted the angle I can ride without thinking about my backside. Great balance of comfort and power. The tail of the saddle is slightly higher meaning you get a good push when seated ( I was shocked). Highly recommend even though it is a slightly more expensive. Worth every penny though. Has a clip for Topeak saddle bags as well.

After trying many saddles over the years and suffering on many long rides, I have finally found a saddle that works for me. I'm a 6'5" dad bod person and this fits me perfectly. On my first ride (17miles off road), I no pain afterwards!!! Thank you

I've finally found a nice comfortable seat which is great for me. Don't forget, your sit bone width is vital to know to get the correct width saddle. I was suffering pain and numbness as my previous seat didn't have the cut out and was far too narrow in width. I now feel like I'm sat on this seat instead of my butt folding around it. Also the indent down the centre helps to stop any numbing. Painless at last.

I have tried many saddles and this one suits me - but everyone has different width sit bones and everyone sits in a saddle in a different way.Have a read up on sit bone measurement, saddle width and length for your type of cycling, as all of these will be relevant for the type of saddle you need.I use this type on my MTB and also my Wattbike now and it has been much more comfortable than previous saddles from Specialized, WTB and Fabric.

Muy recomendable. Lo tengo instalado en una bicicleta hardtail y es muy cómodo inclusive en rodadas de mucho tiempo encima de la bicicleta. He calado varios asientos y por mucho este ha sido el más cómodo, vale la pena el precio.

Quality is good. Feels comfy.

Absolut spitze - hatte viele Sättel am MtB, von Selle, SQLab etc... dieser toppt alles, auch 100km ohne Radhose ohne jegliche Druckstellen und Schmerzen; auch im technischen Downhill perfekt, zwar etwas größer aber noch nicht am Limit, so dass ohne Störung auch jede Abfahrt gemeistert werden kann; bin absolut begeistert - meine Radhosen sind passe und bleiben jetzt wohl für immer im Schrank, da von nun an mit diesem Sattel überflüssige Kleidungstücke...

Amazing saddle! Bought for my Peloton + Bike & another one for my Road bike. The width & length are perfect. Cushioning is just right, not too plush but still has enough to feel comfortable! I'm 6'3 240 for context.I love that the saddle contours down towards the nose of the saddle. So my perineum isn't getting crushed.I've tested out the WTB Koba & Volt (Wide Version) saddles but they were still too narrow for me. The cushioning wasn't much of a problem but the width was killing me.This saddle definitely beats both the WTB Koba & Volt saddles because one it gives your more width in sitting area, two the foam in this saddle is more comfortable but not overly cushioned which is what I love & three it's a longer length so you can change ride positions with ease.The WTB Koba is about a whole 1 inch shorter than this saddle. Volt is about 1/2 an inch shorter.I tested the ERGON Men's SMC Saddle as well but it was a bit too firm for me.
