What's the difference between this and ht-z9f ?

Thank you for your question. While both the HT-G700 and HT-Z9F are 3.1 soundbar systems, there are some differences between the two products. The HT-Z9F has WiFi capabilities and works with both Google and Amazon Voice Assistants. The HT-Z9F has 2 HDMI Input ports, and also supports system expansion with the SA-Z9R rear speaker kit. Both the G700 and Z9F soundbars are excellent products and will meet your home theater and music listening needs. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Question 2

I have a tcl 8 series tv.  when connecting to the arc hdmi port, the volume coming out of the sound bar is very low compared to the tv speakers.  why?

Hi Jordan,

The sound quality will depend on the source that you're playing. To isolate the issue, turn off and on the night mode of the soundbar and check if there is difference. Simply press the night button on the soundbar remote to set the function.  You can also try some of the different TV audio output settings or possibly changing the video settings such as the movie mode vs standard.  This can often change the way TV’s output the audio.

How can you tell what Sound Mode you are in? I there an on screen display or light?

Does it support spotify connect? i.e. broadcast music via wifi with spotify app, not a regular bluetooth connection

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Spotify Connect function. You can only stream music wirelessly with Bluetooth technology.

You may consider getting the HT-A9 Home Theater System or HT-A3000, HT-A5000, HT-A7000 soundbars. On these models, you can easily access popular music services like Spotify and stream all your favorite albums and playlists using Chromecast, Spotify Connect or Apple AirPlay 2. You can also stream wirelessly from your smartphone with Bluetooth technology or use the built-in Wi-Fi to stream music from your own devices.
