Joie Avocado Saver – Silicone Avocado Storage Pod with Stretch-to-Fit Cover, Reusable & BPA-Free, Green

The concept of the product is great and for the one use I got from it it did keep the avocado fresh for a week. It is too flimsy, however, as it ripped almost immediately from very little strain. It started as a small hole but as soon as any pressure was applied, I.e. putting a half avocado in it, it completely ripped open

It looked great, difficult to get apart, even more difficult to put back together with half a small avocado inside. Have used once, and ordered something else.

I bought this in hopes it could keep half an avo fresh, or at least a little fresh, just until the next day. I was shocked at how poor this is - it literally did nothing to keep it fresh in any way. I put half of a beautiful green avocado in to this pod and in to the fridge and 12 hours later what I pulled out later was half an ugly brown barely-useable avocado. For experiments sake, I then put half an avo in this and half in some regular tupperware. The random tupperware actually outperformed this thing. In my experience it was a waste of money. I have no idea how it's rated so well.

Good size but doesn’t keep the avocado from browning. Waste of money. Disappointing. Doesn’t do what it expected.

Avocado goes brown next day, is the same as using cling film tbh. So absolute waste of money! Wouldn't recommend. Also it feels like cheap plastic and it's pretty small so for large avocado 🥑 it needs a proper press! Not impressed!

I've slid and clicked the two pieces together quite easily, it only holds half a small-medium sized avocado without the pit. I've used this product twice now and both times I've come back the next day and it's been brown! I had better luck with cling film 🙄 not worth it

I bought this as it was "amazon's choice", thinking it was going to be amazing. Sadly, I was wrong. I've tried it twice now, both times only overnight. Both times it didn't work, in my opinion anyway. My avocado was as brown as it would have been if I had simply wrapped it up in cling film. Its a fab idea in principle, if it actually worked. I'm just disappointed it doesn't and could have saved myself the money...

Does not work as intended. Avocado brown and mushy the following day. I note some other reviewers have found ok and so perhaps depends on ripeness of avocado when store. But not fit for use imho.

I eat 1/2 avocado a day, and it's about the only thing I use plastic wrap for in day-to-day stuff so I was looking for a way to stop using the plastic. I got this after reading reviews from a bunch of containers. You have take the pit out of the half being kept - but that's OK. This thing works! It's a bit fidgety opening & closing correctly, but nothing that makes it hard to use, I just line it up. I don't always eat the other half the next day. I think the longest I've gone so far is 3 days and the avocado was nicely preserved, it looked like it had only been in there a day. And if you eat them as much as I do, you'll know every avocado is different and how fast it will deteriorate depends on that mighty scale of ripeness it silently goes through. I've used this container for several avocados now and have no complaints. I don't know if the stretchy top can hold up to a dishwasher so I only put the base in and I handwash the top if I need. Heck that's always just going against avocado skin so I admit I haven't always washed the top, I just reuse it the next day. The other plus, because this requires taking the pit out and sits flat, I can actually chuck it anywhere in my fridge now instead of balancing a rounded half avocado on top of something.

Came back to eat the second half of the avocado 5 days later. I expected to find it brown and bitter, but to my surprise it was still green and tasty.
