Is this acrylic or a blend?

According to what I’ve read, it’s 100% acrylic, but very thin, and had some issues with it unraveling.

How similar is this to the retired lion woolspun? i need to finish a woolspun blanket.

This is very thin and with a velour texture. It was used to crochet a small bumble bee. I'm not familiar with the other yarn.

Has anyone tried to use this yarn to make a Afghan? Does it work for that kind of project?

Good quality yarn for crochet

I use it for crochet and made a beanie out of it and it came out nice and warm and stretchy enough . It works well with a 4.5mm hook. The only problem with black yarn in general is you notice things stitching on to it from yarn bits to lint . So you will often Need to use a lint remover to maintain its quality . I would not recommend this color for a sweater or top as it will be difficult to maintain. It works well for amirugumi and beanies.

Thinner yarn, but very soft. Bought for a craft unrelated to knitting and it works perfect. The two colors separate from each other easily, which I imagine might be an issue for knitters, but it worked fine for my needs.
