I've recommended Merrick since using in 2005. I love the quality. Never have my dogs gotten sick as a result of their food. We adopted a very imanciated dog; Merrick's Duck brought him to a safe and healthy weight in no time!

Excellent food for our dogs, we’ve been using it nearly 14 years. Both are standard labradoodles, our girl will be 15 in a week and our boy is 13. It’s served them well and they both still love it after all these years. I wanted a food that would allow our dogs to be able to express their anal glands naturally (firm poop) and this food did the job. (we did not want them to have it done manually because eventually that causes them to require it to be done manually) With all our previous dogs I’d never even heard of this being an issue - until we got doodles. I researched a lot of different foods and this was the one I found that had never had a recall. It’s gone WAY up in price over the years (and the pet & feed stores have quit selling it for some reason) but even so, consider the cost, time and the hassle of a having to pay and have it done by the groomer or vet. No thank you. Very happy to have found this on Amazon. I was really leery of ordering it online because what if the bags were cut or ripped or something - but we order 2 large bags at a time and when they ship it they come in a box sized exactly for 2 and it always arrives in good shape. This is a great food and I highly recommend it.

This dog food is great for my dog, I like the freshness of the food since my dog is a slow eater throughout the day. What I'm really thankful for is the grain free and NO CHICKEN ADDED! You'd be surprised on how much chicken and chicken flavoring is in dog food and treats and since my dog is allergic to chicken its great for him to get different flavors now and then and this brand seems to be the one for us.

* Grain " * are two magic words used to describe your significant dog care. Larger and smaller breeds should always have no grain on the packaging. Grain makes dogs bloat and increases their risk for certain cancers. I bought this product because it is Duck and sweet potato. My Hound Dog loves it. It is worth every penny.

I have been buying this brand of dog food for my dog since he was a puppy. Today my dog is 7 years old. Good health, nice healthy coat, never need to change to a different brand. To put it simply, my dog loves it. I like how the first ingredient is deboned duck. Ingredients sourced in the USA. My dog never had any issues with this. He's a 6lb chihuahua.

We have a picky rescue, and have been running through a number of dry foods. We decided to try Merrick and just picked the duck protein at random, since our dog had rejected most other flavors. Wow. He just ate and ate, and begged for more. He has gained healthy weight and his coat is dramatically better. It's not cheap, but worth every penny.
