Good cheap radio
Works and sounds great, The interplanetary for programing the radio is a little odd but managable. Bluetooth and android auto work well. Although Android auto must be connected by wire. Only thing I don't like is I couldn't get it to turn off when I turn off the car.

It's okay but could be better
Touch screen works well easy to set up. Fits well in my 2011 Ford fusion. Sounds really good but it does lack features such as wireless Apple play or Android auto. There's a power saving mode where it dims the screen but it makes it very hard to see. If you have the money I'd recommend buying the one that has wireless carplay. If you're on a budget this is a good stereo though

Worth the money.
First of all, the quality of the product is solid of course. I recommend this product 100%. The value is right. Android auto worked well though some cords will not work. This issue isn't the case with apple. The touch screen is similar to my phone's in terms of sensitivity and the os is snappy and responsive and lacks that cheap, off brand, toy like asthetic thats common in radios in such a cheap price range and I've had no issues with glitching. The screen casting for android also works well and allows you to control the phone through the radio screen similar to a tablet. An issue you will note is that with no physical buttons, it can be in safe and sometimes difficult to adjust the volume. The "buttons" for adjusting volume and going to the main screen on the side aren't really buttens, the "touch sensors" are small have no texture so it can be hard to differentiate what button is which while driving. I'd definitely recommend buying a steering wheel remote because that volume knob will be missed.

Welcome to the 2020s!
Upgraded my 2012 Nissan Altima stock radio with this one and it is amazing. There was plenty of info on YouTube about the car and the stereo that, for the first time, I was comfortable installing my own car audio. Having CarPlay is amazing. I also just got the SyncKid iPhone Wireless CarPlay Adaptor and that is a great addition -- you don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket when you get in the car. I highly recommend that one if you're going to upgrade your stereo to have CarPlay. Only downside is that the FM radio is not great and there are some stations that I used to be able to get that I no longer get. HOWEVER, most of them have their own apps and you can put that on CarPlay and just listen through the app, so not taking a star away for that.

Not worth the money
The radio worked fine the first few months, then the time started changing itself. The radio cuts in and out, the equalizer resets itself. It's too late to return it or exchange it. Not happy with this radio at all.

Great value
First Kenwood head unit. I'm usually a pioneer fan for headunits, but I was very happy with switching. The adjustable audio function are amazing. Kenwood put some thought into these units. If you like fine tuning your audio this will be perfect. Also the screen is crisp, touch control is flawless. Bluetooth connection is seamless. The android play is pretty cool. Things I don't like - android and apple play needs wire connection. 10 seconds to device to connect and start playing once you start vehicle.

Disappointed
Bought this in February 2025. It worked okay for a while. It lagged a lot and I had to manually connect my phone each time I got into the vehicle. But the touchscreen worked well and I was able to use Google maps without an issue so I figured I'd keep it for a while. Then randomly in November 2025 the screen went black and that was the end of it. I tried reconnecting all the hardware but nothing worked, so its just an expensive brick now.

Works just fine on my son’s Kia Sportage 2012
We replaced the radio UVO system with this new unit. Everything works! I also bought an harness for it to work the Kia Sportage sx model. The only matter is to get the specific harness to work with your car make and model with specifics for your onboard instruments. Be sure to order the right thing. I baught an harness that said 100% compatible with my car make but 2 features weren’t available so I had to improvise.

Its ok. Priced too high
Mostly unhappy because while it can connect to mobile device wirelessly via bluetooth, it will not do carplay wirelessly. You must plug into USB cable. Considering the $87 chinese stereos can do wirelessly. It’s very lame $500 more with Kenwood wont afford you that feature. Nice interface, latency on input isn't bad, feels ok, marginally slower than smartphone but not an issue. Faster than Chinese interfaces.

Paying for the brand.
Scroll to bottom for a pros and cons list if this is too long to read. This stereo is very disappointing. Before this stereo I had a cheaper Chinese stereo and I thought I’d upgrade to a nicer better quality stereo and after less than a year I’m shopping for another Chinese stereo to upgrade from this. Nothing is wrong with my stereo it just sucks. First off the button-less interface is very annoying. The “buttons” are hard to hit due to them being small and since they’re part of the glass screen you’ll easily hit the wrong thing while trying to adjust your volume. Second is the CarPlay. It only works half the time. Sometimes it works with no problem. But a lot of the time it’ll randomly disconnect from your phone mid song and then you’ll have to navigate the poorly laid out user interface to just connect to Bluetooth. It’s gotten to a point where it is more of a hassle to use the car play so I just use Bluetooth. But then I can’t charge my phone from the stereo because if you plug in your phone it’ll automatically go to CarPlay and won’t let you use bluetooth, just for the CarPlay to stop working 10 minutes later while you’re driving leaving you to struggle to get the stereo working while driving. And I know what you’re thinking “maybe your phone just isn’t connecting because of a dirty charging port” or “your charging cable is the problem.” I’ve changed my charging cable to a brand new one and my phone doesn’t stop charging it stays connected to the stereo isn’t a dirty port. It is the stereos problem. Third, this stereo has no functions and no other features other than music. If that’s all you want sure that’s fine. And that’s all I wanted. But here’s the thing. The audio difference isn’t that amazing. It isn’t bad, but when compared to my older Chinese stereo the difference is barely noticeable if at all. This stereo does have more options for cross overs but when the price difference being multiple hundreds of dollars more, having marginally better sound over having a stereo running off of an android operating system capable of downloading apps and having built in gps is that price difference justifiable? Absolutely not. Fourth and this is the most infuriating thing to me. If at any point the stereo loses power, like if your vehicle has repairs and the battery is disconnected. The stereo will COMPLETELY factory reset. I replaced my battery and my stereo was reset and in demo mode, which you have to navigate into the menus to try and figure out how to turn off blindly because nothing tells you how to. All your Bluetooth devices are forgotten and the time and date are all reset it completely factory resets. How hard is it for a stereo at this price to have memory that doesn’t reset with a power loss. Absolutely unjustifiable and very infuriating. If you want to own a stereo that says kenwood on the front and you don’t care how much it costs and that’s all you care about then this is for you. If you want a well functioning easy to use stereo that has any functions other than music and doesn’t factory reset when your battery is disconnected. Then don’t buy this. I would give the stereo one star but in their defence the overall build quality is good on this stereo and like I said the audio does sound good. TL;DR Pros : -Sounds good -good build quality -good crossover settings Cons : -audio quality is only marginally better than stereos half the price -no extra functions or features to justify the price -bad user interface without instructions or a manual to help you navigate -practically non-functional CarPlay -totally factory resets if it loses power (I.e. disconnected battery) -layout and design of the button-less screen is poorly laid out and a nuisance to use -only thing you’re paying for the kenwood name.
