Grinds well. Compact in size fits on counter top . The grooves on the sides prevents the ground material from spilling over.

Item is much smaller in real than it looks in the picture. The grooves & the pores makes grinding difficult than. Doesn't grind dry ingredients, not bad for wet ingredients (chutney, etc.) Ended up returning the product.

For the size of the product the price is very high. Product definitely good provided the size was little bigger and the size restricts its use and the grooves all round makes it even difficult. Now is it just sitting on the counter as decorative piece. Very disappointed with my purchase.

The item arrived in broken stone pieces

This item was in my cart for over a year ! It was my dream to welcome a traditional stone sil batta to my home kitchen which is no less than a Maa Annapurna temple 🛕 I was not sure of buying online. I was worried if I get a compromised product. Finally my heart said go for it 💖 For me, this is not just another kitchen accessory..it’s all about preserving our ancient rich heritage and culture, that I intend to pass on to my next generation. We worship almost all accessories in the kitchen like they are no lesser body parts of Maa Annapurna who is an endless provider. I am so happy to begin this coming Chaitra Navratri by worshipping this auspicious Ammikal which is made with love and unmatched skill, delivered with utmost care. Perfect pacakaging. Chaitra maas represents new bignnings and good health. Perfect time to hand grind neem leaves, rice and coconut. What better way to welcome the new season ! Hats off to the entire team behind getting this item delivered, so quickly and intact. Coming to the product, it is amazing. The sturdiness, the user friendly design, easy to use and easy to hold size. Makes this product the best one I have seen so far. I made chutney on this and it was super easy coz of the design and it tasted great. I read that when we use metal to grind or make a paste it kills all the micro givers, so I decided to shift to the authentic way and my decision was supported by this product availability and usability. There is a smaller size available in this too but I preferred a bigger one and this serves the purpose. This product is worth a buy. Thanks...
