Anders Zorn: 124 Paintings In Colour

Just what I was looking for. I wanted to study his palette and the background text was terrific.

I got this book as a lark on my kindle, basically test-driving it before I considered buying it. Though the images inside weren't as bad as some that I've seen in these "publish-it-yourself" art books (that's not saying anything, as those I've seen have mostly had horrible reproductions) the images are still of only nominal resolution, with many being lower-res than I can find of the same images on Zorn's Wikipedia Commons page. You get some with little crop/zooms of details of the image, yet for the most part the resolution quality is mediocre at best. Though the images may faithfully keep Zorn's colors, because of the low resolution you miss his beautifully efficient brush-strokes, which is actually what I love most about Zorn's work.I actually recommend two routes, one cheaper the other pricier: either collect Zorn's work online, as it's all generally in the public domain and so it's all proliferated pretty commonly, or just invest in one of the higher-end Zorn artbooks.

Terrible quality. Complete waste of money. Cannot derive any artistic inspiration from these plates. Feels like it was published in 1955.

Comme souvent, je suis déçue par la qualité des photos, si vous voulez une vue d'ensemble de l'oeuvre de Zorn, c'est pas mal, mais si vous voulez profiter des détails, bof. J'ai réalisé la mauvaise qualité des photos de ce livre quand je suis allée voir l'expo Zorn à Paris fin 2017, je suis tombée à la renverse devant tant de beauté, j'ai pris moi même quelques photos des oeuvres et j'ai eu envie de jeter mes art book :) Blague à part, rien ne vaut une bonne expo pour voir les oeuvres en vrai, avec les détails et les vraies couleurs !!

Low quality/low resolution images, over saturated...it looks like these images were quickly taken from the internet and thrown together in Microsoft Word in about 10 minutes. Save your money..

Very nice book - all in colour - Many superb Photos of Zorn's major Works and some of the lesser known (to me anyway) - Enjoy it and a must buy book if you are the slightest interested in Anders Zorn. Rene

I was shocked when I opened it. Poor quality, blurry images, like it was printed in a laser printer. Trully dissapointing.
