Berkley Berkley Gulp! Alive! Sandworm Saltwater Fishing Soft Bait

The camo sand worms kill it in the surf. I buy the larger worms and cut them down to 2inch pieces. Hooked to the bottom of a double drop rig paired with blood worm fish bites and you've got a solid setup. The scent of gulp juice is unmatched and has been a staple for a reason. They can get quite expensive, but you can soak other soft plastics in the juice and get a similar effect. The juice tends to smell a bit like pickles. The fish, especially flounder love it.

Used it for fishing in the long island sound off of a boat. Worked better than fresh clam and squid.... I bought a dozen sand worms just in case these didn't work and didn't touch them. The one thing I will say is that you should switch them out frequently- like every 15 min. Throw them back in the juice and put on a fresh one. 90% of our bites came with fresh gulps right out of the container. I think this liquid they come in makes the magic happen. Great part is you can reuse the old ones.... I should say when you get a chance. Got a million of them bitten off which speaks to how well they work.

the fish like these. sometimes they don't like them, but a good bit of time they do like them. don't spill the liquid as smell could be unpleasant to non fish beings.

Good sandworm imitation catches stripers

These are my go to bait for saltwater sand dabs / flounder. Cut them into 2" pieces and use them on a rig with 2 mustad "slow death" hooks separated by 6" and no more than another 12" to the swivel with 30# mono and attach a 2oz wt above the swivel to a slido. If you go any longer than 12" or less than 30# you're likely to get tangled.

I do lots of striped bass fishing in the Long Island Sound, and my most common tactic is trolling tube and worms. Live sandworms cannot be beat. However, I keep these Gulp worms on board, because they often make the difference between a skunk and a successful outing when I can't get live sandworms, or when I run out. I have had times when I'm trolling tubes over huge schools of fish that have lockjaw. I add a Gulp sandworm, and suddenly they can't resist. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but I would say that these make the difference at least 75% of the time. Worth keeping on-board if you target stripers in the Northeast.

Since ive been using these i have been catching alittle more fish than i would usually catch. Im not sure if its the bait or im a better fisher now

Hab schon gut Plattfischfänge gehabt damit. Gerade in den Wintermonaten und Richtung Osten wo es kein Wattwurm zu kaufen gibt eine schöne Alternative.
