Wm58 Classic Style Dynamic Vocal Instrument with Clean Sound, Metal Body Microphone (not with Cable)

Great mic! This was so inexpensive that I went ahead and purchased one for my practice studio set up in my basement. When I got the mic I compared to a sure beta SM57. Same cable, same settings. Side by side. This Wm58 not only sounded 'as good' as the beta SM57, in my opinion, it actually sounded BETTER! The default frequency curve set up on this Wm58 was actually more tuned than the beta SM57. The clarity and signal strength were identical. Couldn't believe it. The design is identical to the classic SM58 and the construction is basically 'identical'. (I picked the 58 model over the 57 model because the 58 model has a nice built-in wind screen that controls 'wind pop' when singing close. Otherwise, there's no difference between the 57 and 58 in my opinion). I don't know how these manufactures can 'clone' a world class microphone and then sell it at such an inexpensive price. I bought another one after receiving this one... not because I needed another mic, but because I wanted to have a 'backup' just in case my new mic was lost, stolen or damaged in some way. I would HIGHLY recommend that you consider these Wm microphones for your studio, rehearsing or live performance. You won't be disappointed.

OMG, I'm never wasting my money on the Shure version ever again when I can almost get 5 of these for the price of 1 SM-58. They sound great and perform almost exactly the same as the original. The price is Soo good it's worth the price to buy one to try it out to see if it's good enough!

This thing is surprisingly good and sounds great. The sound quality is good and the area of voice pickup is nice. We use it to gig all the time as our back up vocals. The durability is good as long as you're not too rough with it. Functions well as expected. Plug and play with an XLR and you're good to go.

Surprisingly good microphone for the price. It's solid and seems well-built, but the sound quality is what surprised me most. Nearly as good as an SM58 which sells for 5X as much.

I ordered two WM-58s. They sent me 2 WM-57s and only accepted the return of one of them, so buyer beware. That said, since I have the 57, I decided to A/B it with a real SM-57, and it is pretty similar. When I positioned them exactly mirror on a cabinet, I could not tell the difference on my first test. I suspect with extensive further testing I could probably find a context where they're audibly different, but it certainly seems close enough. It is definitely a flimsier mic tho. It is distinctly lighter. I don't anticipate that this one will still be functional 30 years from now the way my SM-57s will.

I originally tried out Weymic's version of the SM57 to mic a speaker cab and a cajon. I was so impressed that I decided to try out this 58 clone. I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, I was very impressed on how much better it sounds over my genuine 58. Recently, I tried it out at an open mic I was hosting. I have been advising my fellow open mic and karaoke hosts to try using cheaper mics instead of letting a bunch of drunks destroy your expensive gear. We did a test between this mic and the real 58. Both mics plugged into the same mixer with identical settings. The Weymic outperformed the real 58 by a mile. No contest! Next to this Weymic, the real 58 sounded weak and muddy. The Weymic is crystal clear and even sounds louder. The best part is the price. For the regular price of a real Shure SM58, I can buy six of these mics from Amazon. That's a no-brainer! But, you may be wondering about the build quality and durability. I can tell you straight out that if it wasn't for the identifying markings on the mics, I would not be able to tell the difference between the Weymic and the the Shure. Other than the markings, they are absolutely identical. They appear to be made of the same quality material and the feel, including weight, is the same. Dimensions are identical, so they fit the mic stand the same way. This mic does not have an on/off switch, but neither does the real one. I'm hoping at some point, Weymic offers one with a switch for added functionality. But until then, I am very happy with this mic and I definitely plan on buying more. If you host Karaoke or an open mic and you're tired of replacing expensive mics because of careless patrons, then Weymic mics are the way to go. I highly recommend them not just because of the lower price, but also because the quality is the same or better. And finally, I have to tell you that I've been using this mic at my paid gigs, instead of my real 58. I absolutely love the way my vocals sound through this mic. I will probably never buy a real overpriced 57 or 58 again, as long as I can find these Weymics instead. Very pleased!

I absolutely wouldn't recommend this mic as it is too prone to feedback. Feedback rejection is terrible, in its bid to be sensitive. So bad as a live mic. Never tried recording but I don't think it would have impressed as well. Didn't return it as I had to take 20% cut due to change of mind. Sold it off instead. Never getting this brand again.
