MT-VIKI KVM Switch VGA, 4 Port KVM Switch for 4 Computers Share One Monitor Keyboard Mouse Printer, 3 USB 2.0 Hub, Included 4 VGA KVM Cables

I had problems setting this up. I wanted to use it for 3 computers. It would not fire up the LED's were not lighting up. I will tell you the instructions SUCK!!! Even though this s/b a no-brainer setting up, the one thing the instructions failed to tell you that is MOST IMPORTANT! Each cable has both a standard computer multi-pin cable which also has a USB PLUG infused into the workings. This USB plug supplies the power to your selector unit --- and what they fail to tell you is this... YOU MUST PLUG THAT USB CABLE INTO POSITION #1 of all the USB INPUTS on the back of your computer. If you plug it into #2, 3, 4 etc. THE UNIT DOES NOT FIRE UP!! They only informed me of this when I requested to return it and refund. The manual was written by someone foreign *(no discrimination intended!!) who should never be doing TECHNICAL WRITING to instruct people in ENGLISH speaking countries how to set this up. I mean no disrespect but they almost lost the sale due to this person's lack of ability to communicate. OVERALL I REALLY LOVE THE UNIT NOW THAT IT'S WORKING! I use several computers - one for surfing, one for recording, and one to install software on my synthesizers that need updates from time to time.

Edit: Eventually got the switch to work at full resolution with Ubuntu from startup.Getting a lot of use switching between personal/work laptop and desktop. For some reason Ubuntu wouldn't recognize the display through the kvm switch, but I was able to set a custom mode in xrandr, and it helps switching my second display after logging in for some reason.100% compatible with USB C hubs, so it's painless even swapping around a bit as needed.Really nice to have one set of keyboard/mouse to work with 4 computers.

Good value for the price. I had no issues setting up & using this device. This is my first 4 port KVM switch. I have only had it a week now. I have now had the device for a few months and one the cables went bad. I had one cable left over because I only have 3 computers connected. I did buy this device again in June so that I could have spare cables.

If it's on your desk and you can reach it easily, it works fine. I made the mistake of buying quickly without checking it, and by the time I was ready to use it, I realized it doesn't work like my old one. My old one is starting to fail, but the great feature that it had was that a double-Scroll Lock hit would switch the inputs. I watched the video for this product, and it might be "high-tech", but leaving that feature out was a mistake.

A great gadget to work with one screen.

I use this in my garage with my TrueNAS machine, garage PC, and any spare machines I am working on at the moment. Plugging it in directly to all VGA ports it works fine, though the cables that come with it are pretty overmolded on the plastic so they rub up on each other when plugging into the ports. The price is low, and as long as you don't have more than 4 computers and all of them have a working VGA port, this KVM will work well for you. No need to pay more for an HDMI KVM or god forbid DisplayPort....

Very nice KVM and just push button to switch to another computer. Nice long cables with USB for mouse and keyboard support in one cable
