Ion Blood Orange Semi Permanent Hair Color Blood Orange

I put this over medium brown roots with vol 10 developer. Really nice almost natural shade with a pretty shimmer in the light. Would it be more vibrant on bleach hair? Of course, but that's not what I was going for.

I mixed a little of the blood orange with rose and salmon and it turned out most blood orange. it turned out pretty bright- and it smells really good

I’ve colored my hair all sorts of colors. For some reason this one washed out very quickly. (On bleached hair)

Doesn't last long, but the color is great. A nice tangerine red instead of pink-red or violet-red. I mix it with conditioner to have a direct-dye I can use in the shower to add back color shampooing removes. It does absolutely nothing to my blonde virgin regrowth even used as directed, but it does make my red dyed ends much more vibrant.

This is a beautiful color but it fades pretty quick. Formula isn't too runny or too chalky,like some of the ion colors. Ion has always been hit or miss for me.

Color did not stay after even 2 washes. Faded to cantaloupe color. Not impressed, considering it is Ion.

I mixed this with conditioner, applied onto dry hair, and let it sit about an hour. It was very bright, like almost Ariel red. A lot of hair started breaking off immediately when I was rinsing and it's still breaking off a month later. I just hope it stops soon or I'm going to have to get a pixie and I've been growing my hair out several years.

I have often used Ion products and this color is a disappointment. It was used on hair that was lifted to a platinum blone and left on for 75 minutes. The orange color is flat and there were odd chunks of opalence in the dye that were brown and black flakes. The color also fades very quickly and is not on par with the usual Ion shades. Arctic Fox Poison was used on part of the natural root and lifted hair and it took that color fantastically. I am very disappointed and have used many different brands ranging across the board.
