Easy to install, works great so far. Washer is no longer beating and banging.

Have a Whirlpool WTW4800B01 and in order to replace the suspension rods, the machine needs to be laid on its back in order to replace. For the plastic holders where the rod is secured to, they were too big to fit into the hole so I ended up using the original pieces. No big deal but want to point that out for my washer model. After the install, did a bounce test on the tub and nice and firm.

Scared me at first, Longer Rod, Socket too large for top hole. Have to leave old socket in the top, The Retainer is much thicker, which accommodates the Longer Rod. Works fine, they need to have correct Socket, and would be perfect. Would only be an issue if old socket was cracked or broken. Left arm above is old one, you can see it is shorter, but retainer is thicker. Also can see old socket fits in smaller hole. Works Perfect. 1) Remove Power, Hoses, and screws in back joining top and bottom. 2) Tape Lid Closed, pull Top forward, lift up, jiggle a little(the lid,Silly), till it lifts up. 3) grab a front rod about 8" down with good pliers or vice grips, lift up, remove retainer, release rod down. Do 2 front ones first, Don't release all 4 at once. 4) Tilt Machine forward, remove 2 Front Rods, insert new rods. Put back upright. 5) Grab Rod down low so you can pull through high enough to attach Retainer. 6) Do same for Rear. 7) Secure top, attach hoses, power, and drain. Tub shouldn't bounch like it did before(push down on center of tub to check bouncing) They won't(shouldn't bounce with the new ones) 4)

I was concerned when I saw the rods were slightly longer than the OEM. I watched multiple videos on the correct way to install them. What I learned is you replace them one rod at a time and if you put a 6 inch high stack of 2x4s underneath the basket, you don’t have to hold it up while you hook the rods through the frame. That will dramatically simplified the repair. They seem to be very high-quality. The sole exception is the replacement bushings didn’t fit like the originals. . Fortunately, I saved the OEM bushings, and they worked perfectly with these replacement rods. We’ll see if they have the same durability of the OEM parts. So far a washing machine regain the stability and no longer bangs loudly on the frame.

The product quality was phenomenal and incredibly durable. Although it was not compatible with our model I can say confidently that repair using this product would be great.

The rod is good quality. At first I ordered the wrong size and the seller easily replaced with the smaller size I needed. If you lift the lid on your Amana washer at the base of the lid is your model/serial number. The rod was perfect, packaged arrived nicely, however, the two plastic fittings that go inside top of washer where the rod hooks, the cup that fits into the washer lid would not go deep enough to latch the cup into place. I resorted to my original plastic parts that were intact and I am fine with that. How I know what was wrong with washer I found a video online that said if you can press down on the agitator and if it bounces like a ball these rods are where to start first (I made sure the machine was level before ordering parts). The replacement was easy. I'm 61 year old female, followed the video instructions, and got the job done. If you can't get in the floor a few times up and down I'd get some help. The washer has to be tilted over alot and then lie in the floor underneath washer. Good hand strength is required to grab hold of the rod inside the washer to lift the tub up to secure the rod hook. To lift washer lid remove the 2 or 3 screws (depends on model) to release the lid from the top base of washer, pull the lid forward from front of washer then lift slightly then push the lid back to release the lid. If the plastic replacements would have worked I would have given 5 stars. I'm giving 4.5 because of the ease in ability to replace my product. If I had not found this video on how to lift the lid, i'm sure I would have taken the back of my washer off with no point of return. Have a blessed day !

I have an Amana NTW4605EW0 and this was the option with the best reviews / cost for replacement suspension rods. The new rods are a little different from the original ones and are slightly longer by maybe half an inch to an inch, and the socket pieces are differently shaped. The bottom socket piece that is supposed to fit into the washer frame itself does not fit, so I only used the top piece and it seems to work ok. If your original bottom socket pieces are broken, these new ones would require some cutting/carving to work properly as they have little wing pieces that prevent them from sitting into the hole properly. As far as I can tell, the extra length does not seem to affect the operation, however I've only had them installed for a couple days, so I will return to this review after ample testing time. Overall I would say these are acceptable for the price, however if meeting the OEM standard is your goal, you will likely want to look at original parts. We'll see how these hold up, but for now my banging sound issue seems to be resolved.

Our washing machine was a rocking and a knocking w/ a basic load. Enough to scare the daylights out of anyone who's intimidated. The machine has an agitator so to determine if it was the balance springs I just pushed down and released the agitator, and it bounced back w/an extra bounce. To solidify my finding I treated the agitator like a basketball dribble, and it bounced freely like a ball. Unacceptable!!! It shouldn't bounce and should have resistance on the BBall dribble. So, I ordered this set of balancing spring set after assuring I had the correct part number. ( FYI : Web site Parts select and or Parts direct for OEM number) The new set was longer around 1 3/4" and the new top mount ball joint or the socket didn't fit like the existing. (Made in China go figure) and the part number matched ..at least on the box label. Needless to say, for the hell of it I used the existing top mount and new longer springs. Brought it back into the house, had the wife load it up w/ some heavy stuff and it worked like a champ! Collectively the entire job took less than 1/2 hr. this includes pulling the machine and working on it in the garage. To get to the point for the price it was well worth it otherwise you'll be paying double if not more at your local appliance parts shop or one on the net and better yet than buying a new machine. Make note the extra length on the spring set did not affect the performance! Happy Wife Happy Life !
