I picked up this monofilament for saltwater fishing where I needed dependable strength and abrasion resistance, and it’s proven to be a solid line choice on serious outings. Strength & performance: This line feels strong for its rated pound test. It handles heavy pulls and large fish without stretching to the point of losing control — solid backbone and shock absorption when big fish surge. Abrasion resistance: Great resistance against rough structure, rocks, and barnacles. When fishing around structure or reef, this line holds up better than lighter, thinner monofilament options. Casting & handling: Line spools smoothly and casts without excessive memory or looping issues. It doesn’t tangle easily and stays manageable on the reel, which makes long casting sessions less of a hassle. Visibility & stretch: Monofilament inherently has more stretch than braid, which helps cushion big runs but can reduce sensitivity compared to braid. It’s a trade-off I expected and acceptable for this type of fishing. Things to know: If maximum sensitivity or ultra-long-distance casting is your priority, braided line still has the edge. Used this 200lbs line to make my own flasher and 360 bumpers. Crimps great with metal crimps, nice and stiff, and has survived without issue pulling in some Pacific Northwest salmon. I have enough to make enough bumpers for myself and my friends for a lifetime. Price was right too.

Great line, i fish for Uluas (giant travelly) on the Big island of Hawaii and it does great. Caught my biggest ulua at 80lbs, i use 200lb test and it rubbed on a lava rock shelf for 25mins and did not cut. Well worth it

I bought 15lb of this because I couldn't find the rating in my usual brand (Berkley Trilene) and I'm very happy with the results. The thickness seems on par for the rating, and the knot and stretch feels exactly like my Berkley line. A lot of monofilament and especially flouro will get deformed and weak as you knot, but this line held up! I've caught a few bluefish 18"+ on this line without any trouble and after inspection the line did not seem to show any signs of integrity loss. I'll definitely be purchasing again.

Use this for my duck decoy Texas rigs. Works wonders. Way better than the line I used to use that used to tangle in the decoy bag before even throwing them out.

3 días de pesca y solo usé un tramo de 40 cm aguantó perfectamente 10 mantarrayas, 1 jurel y varios atroces, incluso en una atorada que pensé se iba a quedar el jig, pues le jalé y un anzuelo salió derecho y otro se rompió.... pero el jig salió.... muy recomendable el mono de 40 lbs...
