Princeton Velvetouch, Series 3950, Paint Brush for Acrylic, Oil and Watercolor, Round, 2

Velvetouch is always an excellent in-between brush... Meaning, ideal for watercolor, gouache, and acrylic - at a reasonable price. I adore this Size 2 round. Smooth, lightweight, and solid, the handle is easier to grip, providing smooth, effortless strokes. The "neddle-point" tip produces the most delicate details - such as tiny pine trees, blades of grass, fine dots inside of - and lines along - flower petals. Additionally, without continuous reloading. the belly holds just enough to pick up paint to create swatches and small washes. It doesn't shed, and retains its shape for a long time. The Velvetouch handles don't chip. All in all, the performance of this little gem is worth the investment!

Love my Princeton Velvet Touch brushes. This little #2 is the latest one I purchased. It is perfect for small details holding the water and paint really good considering its size. Great product! I recommend this product and all Princeton Velvet Touch brushes.

Helps you put a lot of detail in your paints I have just taken up watercolor painting. I am not a natural at it, but I wanted to try something new. I was looking for supplies that are good quality, but moderately priced. This fits the bill well. It is well made, but not too expensive. Holds water well and maintains it shape well.

Great brush but Amazon took forever to deliver it. It took 1 1/2 weeks to get. Make sure they have it in dtock

As a full time artist, i know that Princeton brushes are of reliable quality...and I paint on wood, which is a lot harder on brushes than paper.

I have used many brushes over the years and this is now my new favorite! The belly holds a lot of paint and/or water and the tip holds a good fine point. I'm sure I will be buying more of these brushes.

These brushes are a bit pricier than others but are worth it! And after all of the money I threw away on cheaper ones I wish I’d gotten this first. For larger colour fills and daubing in colours for watercolour less pricier ones are still ok but for fine lines and details one really needs to drop a few quid. This #2 is an absolute game changer. It holds a tack sharp point yes with a touch of pressure moves out as you like. I recommend trying it out to get the feel. It holds water and paint wonderfully and makes a longer line than you might expect. Can’t say enough except if you really want to feel and see how to get great line and detail for yourself just get one!
