Don't let their name put you off! this band is really good!
This is not some death metal band with growling vocals. if that is your cup of tea, fine, but this band's style is more closer to classic hard rock with a bit of a modern twist. if you can imagine a Ann Wilson(Heart) type vocalist fronting a band that sounds like they were influenced by Black Sabbath and some other old school proto metal bands then this might be the band for you. front-woman Johanna Sadonis is a very accomplished vocalist and the band's musicianship is top notch. highly recommended for fans of female-fronted hard rock and metal.

Very good first record, but it's no II
Good album but not as good as II. Some riffs feel like the weird metalness is just a wee bit forced.

Heavy doom with female vocals.
Guitarist from Cathedral. Disc has 8 slow to mid tempo songs/44 minutes. Dreamlike and gothic female vocals. Lots of newer doom out there, check out Acid Mammoth, Alastor, Hazemaze, Hour of 13, Mountain Witch, Saint Karloff, Savanah, Sleeping Village, The Rare Breed, Witchers Creed and Witchskull.

The best album I've purchased in 2015
I've been impatiently waiting for this album since I got the Anubis 7" and it's everything I hoped it would be. The best album I've purchased in 2015! Gaz Jennings guitar work amazing! Crushing Doom riffs with great female vocals by Johanna Sadonis ex Oath vocalist/songwriter. This album is very addictive, every song is great I can't stop listening. Doom at it's best. BUY THIS ALBUM YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! LUCIFER has arrived! 10 out of 10!

Good album but she sings in mono through every song. She’s got a great voice but she needs to let it loose.

Lucifer
Just what I needed. I've been growing tired of the Metal scene since I lost interest in it back in the early 2000's. Lucifer takes a step back, but keeps it heavy. The first song I heard was Izrael. I didn't hesitate when buying the album. I can play this at work all day.

Covens Erben!
Erstmal muss ich bischen Motzen! Das der geile Song Anubis hier fehlt find ich mal voll S*******,er hätte als Sabbath /Doom Walze die Scheibe sehr aufgewertet ! Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden tolle Songs "Abracadabra" (der beste Titel) , "Purple Pyramid", "Izrael" (hierzu gibt es ein gelungenes Video nach forschen, lohnt sich) und "Total Eclipse" brennen gut rein! Lediglich der Track "Sabbath" klingt für mich zu beliebig aber ist Ok ! Johanna ist nicht die grösste Sängerin aber bringt volles Feeling, alles passt !! Nicht ganz soo stark wie The Oath, aber mit viel Mystik knappe Fünf Sterne !! Und bitte mehr von dieser Band!

Haunting
Ok, so this reeks of Sabbath, but what Doom band doesn't?Joahanna has a haunting quality to her voice which I can't get out of my head. The guitars are low and heavy. The songs are catchy as hell. It does get a bit samey by the end, but her voice means you don't care.Overall, this is probably my favorite doom record of the year and one which I would recommend to fans to Sabbath, Type O', Paradise Lost et al.
