The measure the weight after the mushrooms are dried, so there were substantially more than I expected.

I'm used to Truffle Oil on fries at home and small truffle pieces on burgers and steaks at restaurants and wanted to try these on my home meals. I have a good palate and know the subtle taste of a truffle. These do not reconstitute as you would expect , the texture is still rubbery after FOUR thirty minute soakings and they taste like a BAD and OLD dried mushroom. Garbage. I should have looked at all the reviews first. I don't believe any of the good reviews on this product and I feel scammed. I have thrown this item away and my $15 as it is not refundable. Amazon should look into this.

These dried truffle chips are a reasonably priced way to add subtle truffle flavor to grain dishes and stews. They are a bit hard to cut dry, so I soak them in hot water, cut them and add both the truffle dice and water to the dish.

You do get What you pay for, so for a low price, you get a “meh” product. Not much flavor, and a very subtle fragrance. They’re not terrible, but I wouldn’t buy them again. I achieved the best results with this product by soaking all day and putting them along with the soaking liquid in a blender, then cooking down the purée to a thick paste and mixing with a little oil and salt.

I tasted the dried mushrooms and instantly could tell that they tasted nothing like truffles. But I reconstituted them with water for 30 minutes as instructed, and they still did not taste anything at all like truffles. There is no way these are truffle mushrooms. And they taste horrible. And apparently they’re not returnable so that was a huge waste of money.

Very nice product! Big slices, smell amazing and good pair with cheese and pasta.

Rehydrating takes time.
