Read everything before using.
I absolutely love the quality it is energy efficient to the max. The controls are easy to use as long as you read. The manual first. The versatility on this thing is amazing, you can make anything. I thought it was going to be too big.But after I received it, if fit nicely in the corner of my countertop. The safety? Just please be careful because it's true. What they say, you will get burned if you do not let it cool down before putting it back in the corner, or wherever you are going to be storing it. The quality of it is wonderful. As I said, before using this oven, be sure to read every single instruction given. Like, don't just take it out of the box and use it. You must prepare it. It says you have to turn it up to I believe 500ยฐ, set the timer for 20 min., and LEAVE IT ALONE until it shuts itself off. In other words, I guess it's PRIMING the oven before usage of the oven. The chicken wings did not come out as crispy when it was on air fryer. Cooked a second batch on the wings button, & the second batch was much better, crispier. It takes some time & patience before you really learn how to use it. I personally got frustrated. I went on youtube to look up this specific air fryer & it was extremely helpful. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND NOT BURN YOURSELF. THIS IS VERY VERY HOT. When using, make sure it is out in the open & not tucked away in a corner. I like the way that EVERYTHING is stored neatly inside the oven. BE SURE TO CLEAN INSIDE & OUT AFTER EVERY USE. It could get very dirty & greasy. If you do not clean it. It's best to clean after every single use. A big tip? YOUTUBE. Others share their recipes & such. Have fun with your new oven.

One of our best pandemic purchases, even with its flaws, it is amazing!
I promised myself if it lasted 6 months I would write a 5 star review and if it lasted less than 6 months I would write a 3 star review (less review). The thing is; the doors don't close completely due to what looks like bad fit and finish, one of the trays is a little too big - keeping the doors open even more. Had it not been for the pandemic I would have probably returned it without even plugging it in, but... we are so happy with how it works, how it cooks and the results. It has lasted 9 months to date with little sign that it wonโt go for several years or more. This is my first air-fryer, but it completely checks the boxes of being able to make fries, onion rings, chicken wings the best. So good that fast food fries directly from the take out window taste sad and soggy compared to the crisp clean fries I get from this thing. Thatโs no exaggeration; after about 6 months with no fast food and cooking all meals at home due to some issue in 2020 I finally had my first big Mac and fries and the big Mac was ok and the fries just seemed soggy. I went back a week later and found similar results. I think I just expect more from fires now. I bought the largest air fryer I could find, for the rotisserie and it checks that box (it has flaws, more about that below). But the three hidden gems are, cheese toast, hot dogs / sausages and reheating bread from the refrigerator. It cooks these three things so much better than any other device that it is worth having just for those three things. So... I'm writing a five star review for a contraption that has flaws. You want to know the flaws and decide for yourself if it is worth your money. Thatโs why you are reading this super long review: 1. The selector dial is super sloppy (I saw this in other reviews and I am reiterating they used a super cheap part for the dial). I waited over 6 months to write this review as I assumed it would break and I did not want to write a good review for a piece of junk. It has not broken and it has not gotten worse. I therefore concluded it is not a piece of junk, just a flowed device. 2. It gets very hot and moves a lot of air. Hey, that is why you are looking at this one in the first place.! But the sides get too hot for me to put it near a wall and it blows so much hot air out the top back area I did not feel it was safe to run it under a cabinet. As a side note, much of the casing is cool to the touch, but some of it does get hot. My concern was trapping hot air. With nothing to cool my walls and 15 minutes of hot air, I was worried. I thought it would heat up the shelf above and with hot air rising and this thing producing a lot of hot air I worried it would damage the paint or even catch the kitchen on fire. I ended up moving it to an island location with nothing above it. 3. The doors are very sloppy and do not really close all the way. Like the dial this is an unforced error that could be avoided by better build quality. But... this thing moves a lot of air and has louvers to draw air into it. The gaps on the front just contribute to the louver area and therefore do not detract from its actual function. Also, like the dial issue, I wanted to wait before writing this review to see if the door hardware would get worse. It did not. 4. Two of the trays came with dents and the protective coating was damaged. This annoyed me, but not as much as the fact that one of the trays (the drip tray / baking tray) also does not completely fit inside the oven. It holds the doors open. How this sort of oversight is even possible is just really odd. I know from reviews other people have received ones with poor workmanship and many received them with no issues. I have to overlook this issue because I like the rest of what this does. You may feel otherwise. 5. The loud beeping. It beeps, you will notice the beeping. 6. The rotisserie setup has two design annoyances. The spit has a square end instead of a pointy end. good luck getting it to go through a chicken. I have a rotisserie rod from a broken machine that I use to pre-drill my food because this one is just too blunt. The end caps are tricky to get onto the spit. They hold very well, but these two flaws make the rotisserie process cumbersome. 7. One more item of note regarding the rotisserie, unless you perfectly balance your chicken and tie it up really well, this machine does not fit a large frying chicken and only a small one will fit using the drip tray. Some tinfoil magic will need to be done at the bottom otherwise you will have chicken schmaltz leaking out the bottom of the machine. This happened once and it was not so fun to clean up. On the plus side, the rotisserie is strong enough to move unbalanced food and has good controls for stopping and reversing and the oven light works well to see inside. As I said at the top, this is my first air fryer so I don't really know if it is the best one or the worst one. It is a vegetable monster making tasty (and healthy) side dishes really easy, it does the frying thing super well and with the glass front lets you really dial in the browning on things like chicken wings. For making things like cheese toast or garlic bread this thing is just perfect. On the rotisserie I have done a tri-tip roast, a turkey breast and many chickens. For quick indulgence, this thing will cook a tray of fries directly from a frozen bag, a hot dog and then warm a hot-dog bun when placed in the last minute all at once. That's a whole meal with every item being cooked better than any other method I have ever used. Did I mention how well it cooks cheese toast? I begrudgingly give this thing five stars and would willingly pay about 50% more for one that has a build quality of a high end appliance and real stainless steel. And that is the story, I find the $199 a good value for this product as it sits today. We have purchased a number of cooking items and gadgets over the last year just to keep the mailman employed and to balance our own sanity. This thing gets used nearly every day for some task or another and deserves a good review despite itself.

An amazing unit and Customer Service is EXCELLENT!
An absolute AMAZING little cooking machine! Extremely easy to use, ALL of the presets are nearly perfect ( you might have to tweak them just a little for for own personal results). I love the rack placement lines that are printed on the beautiful French glass doors. No more guessing! It does TRULY perform as a regular stove oven, and the 5 heating elements (3 on top with the fan, and 2 on the bottom) along with the concave cut out in the back of the oven wall) insure PERFECT cooking results each and every time! You can indeed cook EVERYTHING in this Fryer Oven. I now only use my stove for making scrambled eggs and hash browns! Toast is absolutely AMAZING. It doesn't just darken the bread, it kinda mini bakes it. It gives the taste of the bread a whole new dimension. Just make sure to butter it lightly BEFORE you put it in the oven. You'll thank me later! I haven't tried the bacon rack yet, but I'm quite sure that it's going to be an equally great eating experience! The thing about the pre heating... I have noticed that each cooking function blinks UNTIL the proper cooking temperature is reached (like on baking), but most of us just put our food in immediately which is okay, because after it turns off the first time, it gives you an ADDITIONAL 3 minutes at the end to even out the proper cooking time, and then it turns off for the last time! The lighting of the presets and the navigation is awesome. I could go on and on ๐ Simply BRILLIANT!!

Light quit, what's next? But Kalorik took care of it.
Got the Maxx Air Fryer on the first day of the delivery window. Box was dented and torn, but product was packed well and not dented or scratched. Everything was in the box as advertised. Written directions were very clear and informative in the instruction booklet. Recipe book semi useful, half of the items I would never make. Internet is better source for my style of cooking. In the steak recipe, the amount of time it said to cook med-rare steak made a medium steak. Smaller instruction book was accurate for steak time. I had 1-1/2" fillet mignon which were nearly touching the burner which might have accounted for the over-cooking. You are cautioned to monitor food to prevent over-cooking when using the presets and I found that to be very necessary. I have re-heated pizza, cooked steak, brussel sprouts, zucchini fries, chicken legs, bacon and brat sausages. Everything tasted great most cooked to perfection. I did burn the brussel sprouts by not watching them carefully, they go from OK to overdone in a little over a minute using the air fryer setting. The fifth time using it was last night making zucchini fries they were great but when I went to clean the cooled oven the light would not come on! That is one of the features I really liked about the little oven. Today I plan to bake a cobbler and tomorrow rotisserie a pork roast. Things I don't like. Only the adjustment dial. I have to turn it sometimes two clicks and sometimes only one to get it to move from function to function on the digital screen. Not sure if this is normal. Buttons on front do get really hot when cooking steak at the 500ยฐ setting. Not so much at the lower temps. But caution is suggested. I don't make toast in the oven as it uses too much electricity compared to my little toaster when I am only making 2 slices. Would not use it as a dehydrator as I have two dedicated units. Will try the proofing feature when I make bread tomorrow. On the heat around the oven when operating, I only noticed excessive heat coming from the back where the main exhaust is. The rear wall did get hot, not enough to burn but enough that I put a glass tray against my wall so no worries about that and the instructions say to keep it 4" from all walls. The other sides do not appear to get hot, when a tissue is put near the vents they seem to be sucking in air not blowing it out. The top gets semi hot but not enough to make me worry or try to protect the cabinet above which is the prescribed 4". I place the little feet on 1" trivets mainly so I could move it forward and back on my counter when I used it, the little rubber feet did not slide so well which is probably a good thing. The front doors seem to cause folks to be concerned. Don't worry. They are really a great adaptation from the fold down door. I put a piece of foil or small cookie sheet in front. When I pull out the food the crumbs or drippings go on them instead of the crack of the door. I have the fold-down door on my convection oven and it's a pain to clean. The small crack between the doors does not cause any problems as some folks have questioned. The oven cleans up with a damp sponge. I spray a little vinegar on it and wipe, to cut the grease, then wipe with water dampened cloth. Dry the glass doors with paper towel and I'm ready to cook again. I put the fry basket, bacon tray, steak tray and drip tray in the dishwasher. All appear to be be non-stick except for the air fry basket although I don't see any coating of any kind. Looks like the same metal as the inside of my self-cleaning oven. I am bummed about the light and wondering what else is going to stop working. It appears the glass protector over the light is riveted in so would have to take the entire cover off to replace the light bulb. I'll call the company Monday as this is Saturday to see what can be done about the light. I was really thrilled with the oven before the light development. Have not used my stove oven or my countertop convection oven since I got it. I have already given away my George Jr rotisserie so I hope this light thing can be fixed. I'll update when I find out. UPDATE 8-13-20: Received the 3rd oven tonite (2nd replacement). They shipped the 2nd oven after I called a week after they got the the one with the broken light. It was 2 weeks before I got the 2nd oven, on a Friday night, of course. It was a mess. The bottom was all bent up, the doors would not open right, nor would it sit flat on the counter. I took pictures and emailed them to the Customer Rep I was working with. Monday morning before 8am CDT I got a call from the Customer Service Supervisor at Kalorik. He was very apologetic about the poor condition of the oven. Promised to personally inspect the next shipment and get it sent immediately. I checked my email where there was a return label waiting for me to print. I took the 2nd damaged oven to UPS on Monday and they shipped one from Florida on Monday also. I got the replacement tonight, Thursday. It was packed much, much better than the other ovens and appears to be a slightly different model, maybe an upgrade. The selector knob I mentioned on the original oven where I had to turn it several clicks to make it move on the selections is not an issue with this one. It moves with only one click. I have not been able to use it other than to do the original "burn-off" of the interior they tell you to do in the instruction booklet. The light issue has also been fixed it appears. The light in the new oven has a clip that looks like you could remove the glass and replace the bulb. Don't know yet but so far I am impressed with the new oven. Looking forward to re-heating some fries in it in the morning. I can not say enough good things about the Customer Service. They have been very responsive to my emails considering they may be working from home. I did not ask. Thank You to Kalorik for taking care of me.

Very good, but not quite perfect
This is a really good air fryer. But to call it an air fryer does it great injustice, because it is so much more. This is a wonderful toaster oven. It's a great countertop oven when used with or without an included rotisserie. A broiler? You bet. Whether you are doing steaks, fish, or doing anything else that requires a broiler, this oven does it well. It's a convection oven. I love making biscotti, which means "twice baked." And unlike making biscotti in an oven which requires turning over each individual cookie during the baking process, when used as a convection oven, biscotti becomes "scotti," because both sides are cooked evenly at the same time. Ok. I love this air fryer with the French doors that resembles the one pitched on television by a celebrity chef. Bam! But there is room for improvement. The things that could use improvement are few in number and frankly, removing a โญ because of them would feel petty. So what are they? 1. If you take your hand off the door handle before the doors have fully opened, those doors slam shut with a vengeance. Damping the speed at which the doors slam shut would be a big help. 2. When toasting or baking or roasting food, the items at the back of the oven cook more slowly than those in the middle and front of the oven. If you are baking a chicken or beef roast surrounded by veggies, the veggies in the front of the oven will burn before the ones in the back are finished. The fan functions well, but the back of the oven is cooler than the front. For instance, potato wedges in the front will be golden brown while those in the back will still be white and crunchy. Bagels? Same thing. The bagels in front will be very dark before the ones in the rear begin to show any color at all. 3. There is no 3. Just those two items. And if you are aware of #2 you can keep It from happening pretty easily by repositioning the food as it cooks. Would I buy this again? In a heartbeat. I love this air fryer. I suspect you will too.

Multifunctional, works great.
Well constructed. The gap between the doors is intentional. Can function as a regular oven and a broiler. The bacon rack works great. Easy to use. This replaces a 10 quart rotisserie air fryer because sometimes I couldnโt find a chicken small enough to rotate on the spit. This is a great value.

Cheaply Made
My wife and I really liked this product. It is easy to use and food cooked in it tastes really great! And it looks good. We have used it an average of three or four times a month since we got it at Christmas in 2021. Tonight, as we were finishing up our dinner (we had air fried some egg rolls in it) we heard a strange clunk in the kitchen. As we investigated the sound my wife attempted to close the French doors, which she had left open to help it cool quicker, and found they were stuck open and would not budge. I investigated and slowly began to try to disassemble the doors far enough to figure out why they were stuck. The doors appear to be the only item attached to this unit with rivets instead of screws, and I discovered that the last item you can get to in the disassembly is the central disk at the bottom of the unit that is supposed to rotate allowing the doors to open and closes. As you can see in the attached pictures, this is a metal disk with a plastic piece under it. The plastic piece is attached to the bottom of the oven with three screws (you can see the holes for them around the periphery of the black melted stuff). The metal disk is attached to the plastic one by a screw that goes through the hole in the middle of the metal disk. As you can see, the plastic piece has had a catastrophic failure and is now very firmly attached to the metal one. No more rotation at all. I don't see how this could have happened over time, so something must have gone really wrong with the heating element to get hot enough to do this. At least that's the best I can figure without being able to see the mechanism in working order. I have probably voided my warranty by taking it apart this far, but I couldn't see how the doors getting stuck would be so serious as to render the whole thing useless. And packing up a $200 appliance with the doors stuck open then paying shipping to get it to their facility is not something I think would be cost effective. I am hoping they will see this and honor the warranty. But, I'll see.

Air frying perfection at last
I tried a lot of air fryers over the years and to be honest many have failed at some aspect or another on cooking performance. I was looking for a new air fryer that had the ability to cook quickly and also the ability to sear a good steak. Making healthy quick meals is important for my busy lifestyle. My friend told me about the MAXX air fryer oven that he saw on TV. I did my research online and was happy to see that it claims it could cook a steak 37% faster than the average air fryer oven, amongst other recipes and very fast cooking times. The website claims it has a large capacity of 26 quarts, has 21 presets which seemed to be a lot compared to others, and also came with 9 accessories which is a lot more than all the others (including a searing steak tray and rotisserie). It also comes with a handy cookbook. Overall, it looked like very good value for an air fryer oven with a lot of features. I received the package from Amazon within few days. The MAXX air fryer oven came in very good condition, was about the size expected for a larger capacity air fryer oven, and the unit looks great! It has a full stainless steel front with digital display, and nice double front doors. I followed the instructions in preparation of using the machine to prepare my dinner. I decided to make a ribeye steak seared and finished with butter, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. I also wanted to make sweet potato fries, dusted with salt pepper and garlic powder (with minimal oil). I finished the meal with a salad on the side. Step one: The unit is very easy to understand and operateโฆ The instructions were clear. Step two: I prepared the sweet potatoes and chop them to create sweet potato fries homestyle. The generous size of the air frying basket allowed me to make three large sweet potatoes in one go, in only 15 minutes! This sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly. I did add about a tablespoon of oil to coat the fries. Step 3: I took two relatively large ribeye steaks (my favourite cut), seasoned with a touch of oil, salt, and pepper. I preheat the air fryer oven for five minutes per the instructions, and cooked the steak five minutes on each side since I like my steaks medium (4 minutes on each side is medium rare per their instructions). Embarrassingly, I did freeze the steaks to prepare for the worst case scenario as a result of the Covid crisis (back up food). I did not have a chance to buy fresh steaks as I usually get home from work late. I did defrost them slightly but the air fryer oven was able to still cook the steaks extremely well even when slightly frozen! The steaks did smoke quite a bit, but I am used to that as I do a lot of grilling and searing steaks is going to create smoke. I had my air fryer near my stove fan for ventilation. In total: That is 15 minutes for the potatoes, 10 minutes for the steaks, and 5 minutes of preheat time. At most I took 5 minutes of prep time before cooking.... 25-30 minutes total time for a great meal. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the MAXX air fryer oven. It cooks extremely fast, was surprised at how evenly it cooks the food without drying it out, and very happy with the overall performance. I made enough food for two generous size meals + in less than 30 minutes. Iโm excited to try more recipes with all of the various accessories and presets. Lastly, cleanup of the unit is a breeze. The enamel coating was very easy to clean after cooking with the steaks. I recommend this purchase, it performs, saves you time, and from what I can see, is very good value compared to others in the market.

Exceptional Air Fryer!
I just got this air fryer and Iโll say Iโm very impressed. The setup took 10 minutes to wash the parts, dry, and then plug it in and ready to go. It does require about 20 minutes โburn-inโ to clean the inside on the steak setting, but the instructions were very clear as to what to do. This Air Fryer worked exceptionally well I baked trout and air fried brussels sprouts that came out so good my kids cleaned their plates! The fish setting had the ideal timing. The trout was cooked perfectly, it was cooked through but very moist and flavourful.. itโs easy to overcook fish so this was a welcome surprise as it didnโt require the normal attention to make sure the fish isnโt dry, just turn it on and go do something else until itโs done. For the Brussels sprouts I used the air fry setting and a little olive oil and the sprouts came out perfectly caramelized they were light, with much less oil than sauteeing, yet had great flavour. Again this was a set it and forget it scenario. All the parts came out of the machine easily and washed off perfectly no fuss or mess it was easier than using a pan. The only part I would warn about is that the glass doors and metal shielding get very hot. Make sure to keep little hands or big hands away from it. It is very clearly labeled where the hot parts are but kids and many adults donโt read labels so be aware of that.

Very happy with my purchase.
There are so many great things about this Air Fryer Oven. Once you get the sequence of how to make things it works like a breeze. I got the oven ready following instructions. I never had a plastic smell. The first thing I made was toast. I tried 3 times until I understood how the knobs work. The toast came out perfectly. The next was to air fry a turkey leg. I put parchment paper under them so I would have minimal cleanup. The turkey was perfect! crisp skin and soft inside. No clean up needed. The thing to remember ( which I did not initially) is that you do have to warm up the oven even for toast. This makes it longer to toast than a toaster, However you can put more bread in there than a toaster. I am happy with my purchase. The quality is very good. It fits under my cupboard , has a great 2 glass door opening and a super inside light!
