Lovely design
Beautiful design and lovely glaze. I am disappointed that this bowl had several noticable flaws in the clay on the backside of the bowl. Anywhere else this bowl would have been considered a second and discounted. Beautiful on the surface, but not the quality I expected. The size is very nice and it functions well. Overall not bad, but again somewhat disappointing. The flaws do not impact the usefulness of us the bowl. Just cosmetic.

IIMPERFECT 2nd!
If you’re going to sell supposedly fine porcelain china, that’s actually defective, a “second” and imperfect, you should be honest and write that on the description! I’ve had, and still have, many lovely Portmeirion pieces in my life. But never have I had a piece that has a four different little rough, unfinished elevated chunks of porcelain sticking up and out from the surface! The aren’t glazed and they’re rough to the touch. The seller should’ve been honest and advertised them as defective - NOT sold at full price for a purportedly good product that’s actually quite flawed. I hope the defects in the china don’t make it more susceptible to breakage or leakage. Portmeirion china is made to be cherished for its beauty and splendor, and to last for generations. This piece, not so much.
