Laser Lens for PS2, Replacement Laser Lens Head Repair Parts for PS2 Slim SPU3170 Game Console

I installed the new laser lens and started up my ps2 slim the laser moved into position but the laser light didn't come on and the disc didn't spin. I had seen you tube videos about removing the soldering blob at the corner of the laser but it was already removed I saw the blob on the ribbon that I have circled above. I removed the blob with a soldering iron and it worked perfectly.

Product claims to be new but looks obviously used. Solder blob has been removed already. There is noticeable wear and tear and the kicker is it works worse than the laser im trying to replace! Would not recommend

I had an SPU laser in my PS2, they’re different from the PVR lasers. If you can see an orange strip on the front of yours then this is the laser for you. If you don’t see one then look for a PVR-802W laser. Don’t be me and buy the wrong one and have to return it Lolol.

It came in really fast, like 2 months faster than expected but it came in damaged. I’m honestly very upset about this because I really want to get my PlayStation 2 working but can’t seem to get a good laser in.

Received a visibly damaged laser and all signs point to this being used.
