These are helpful in the house plants. Feeling them up is not as fun

I use these in almost all of my houseplants! It makes monitoring soil moisture much more convenient. I have actually seen a huge improvement in my tropical plants, especially. As long as the end of the globe isn’t touching the bottom of the pot, they do great. I also love that they aren’t glass, because I have dropped several! They do tend to get clogged, but it is very easy to use a toothpick to clean them out. I’ve actually found that inserting them into the soil without hollowing a hole first creates a slow and steady water supply.

Bought these for when I went out of town for 10 days, figured as long as they kind of worked it was better that the plants got at least some water than no water. I divided them between 8 plants, my bigger plants got 2 and when I came back the globes were all empty and the plants were dry and needed to be watered but they were still alive and still healthy! I only had issues with 1 globe which upon putting it in the plant (which has very fine soil) all the water started coming out so I had to just be careful how I positioned it. Some were positioned upright vertically and some were at an angle but they all functioned properly. Solid and cheap investment to keeping my plants watered and alive while out of town and will def use them again next time I'm out of town. My best guess is they maybe lasted 7 days of watering, so not bad. Happy with this purchase!!

The product works well if you have enough time to figure out what the correct placement/angle is that delivers the right flow of water to your plants. I did a few trial runs and it paid off. Before leaving for my 2 week vacation, I gave the plants a good soaking, then put the self watering globes in so that they would slowly deliver water to the roots. I am happy to report that upon my return, all of my plants were alive and well. I'm very happy with the product.

Takes F O R E V E R to fill these up!You cannot simply submerge the globe in water and it flow into itself.You have to tap it, to move airbubbles around. OR get a separate syringe to transfer water.I have 30 plants. This is an unpleasant form to address autowatering.

Disappointed in these...nothing more than a pinhole opening making them nearly impossible to fill
