Novilla Full Mattress, 12 Inch Gel Memory Foam Full Size Mattress for Cool Night & Pressure Relief, Medium Plush Feel with Motion Isolating, Bliss

To say that the bar was set very low for this mattress to exceed the one it was replacing is an understatement; however, it also had to live up a comparison to the comfort and quality of my full time mattress which is a sleep number. To be clear, this mattress was intended to replace a junk, coil spring mattress in my part time residence, where I wanted to maximize my comfort (and reduce pain) at a price point that made sense. Coming in at just around $300, I figured I had little to lose and, at worst, it would have to be a step above the old mattress. Imagine my utterly pleasant surprise to come and find out that this little gem not only met that low bar, but overwhelmingly exceeded it. I've had this mattress for a little over a month and have slept on it probably near three weeks out of that month. In that time what I have found is that this mattress is extremely comfortable, super easy to set up and provides just the right amount of support where I need it most. In fact, I would say that it almost.....almost provides the same comfort level and support factor as my sleep number mattress. Almost, but not quite. Pros: 1. Extremely convenient packaging and set up: A queen size mattress in a box, delivered to my doorstep. How easy is that? The box itself is hefty so you likely will need a helper to get the whole deal into position and especially when it comes time to cut the packaging and have it ready to go "inflation". Instructions provided and easy to follow. Once we properly positioned the wrapped mattress on the box spring it took a simple slice of the plastic (using the slicer provided to us in the box) and voila! new mattress. The directions tell you to allow the mattress to shape for at least 72 hours, but I was extremely hopeful that I would be able to us it that night as one more night on the old mattress was absolutely out of the question. Some people have noted that their mattresses didn't form properly or didn't reach the intended height (some even after the 72 hours) but I found that my mattress was fully formed and at the right height in no more than 12 hours. I made the choice to use it that night 2 Comfort: I've found over the years that I need a firmer mattress to alleviate much of my lower pack pain and stiffness that I've found in using mattresses of lesser quality. The one advantage of a sleep number bed is that you have 100s of different combinations available to you to find just the right amount of firmness or softness to achieve maximum comfort, and over the past year or so that I've owned it, I've found that I fall neatly within the medium firmness category (for those familiar with sleep number, I'm about a 55 to 60 setting) so having this mattresses advertised as falling into the medium to firm category was really important - and I was counting on that description being accurate. And I can tell you that , at least in my experience - it is. In fact, if I had to assign a sleep number to this mattress for comparison, my guess is that it would fall in the 65-70 range. I say this because while extremely comfortable, it does seem to be just a bit firmer than my current sleep number setting. Not enough that it creates any moderate discomfort, but just enough that I can feel the pressure. For reference - I am in the range of 180-190lbs - I can't speak to how well that level of firmness holds for someone in a different weight bracket, but my best guess is that it will hold relatively stable for most people. 3 Sturdy - I can't speak to how other foam mattresses are in this category, but when sleeping with someone else, I don't feel them moving or turning/tossing. 4 Price - Sure, you can invest in other, more expensive mattresses, foam or otherwise, for your needs, but out of the box, at this price point, you get a lot of mattress with very little downside. That being said, I cannot speak to how well it will hold up over the long term, or whether it will still be the same mattress in 1 year or even 3, but at this price point, I would be satisfied with with a handful of good quality years. Cons - Really very few to mention, but: 1 Edge support - I believe this is an issue with every foam mattress, but the edge support is absolutely not on par with a traditional mattress. That being said, it does not affect my use of the mattress one bit, but for those that need the extra support to get out of bed, or, for those that want to utilize some edge support for "extracurricular" activities - you'll find that you'll have to adjust for the lack of edge support and plan accordingly. 2 Cooling - foam mattresses in general are notorious for running warm and while this mattress attempts to compensate for it by using a cooling layer, I believe that warm sleepers are still going to find themselves sleeping warm. I generally don't tend to be a warm sleeper, so it hasn't been an issue for me, but it also certainly doesn't offer any more cooling features than any other mattress available. All in all, I rate this mattress very highly and certainly would recommend purchasing it assuming its specifications meet your needs. It's a high quality, comfortable mattress at a very affordable price point.

Who would think that a queen size memory foam mattress could fit in a small box which can be carried by one or two people? I didn’t. What a remarkable concept at an affordable price! But the most important question for any mattress, since you may be spending about 1/3 of your life on it is- “Is it comfortable?” In a word- Yes. It’s very comfortable- firm yet supple without being hard, while supportive in a slightly form-fitting way. Definitely firmer than a Tempur-Pedic which sinks in certain body areas while costing thousands. I was not very comfortable testing various Tempur-Pedic models- too much sag in my experience, like sleeping on firm Jello. If you prefer a soft or softer mattress this Novilla model may be too firm for you. We have a Sleep Number bed In our main home. We rented an apartment in another state so we could visit our family and grandchildren and needed to furnish it. We chose the Novilla mattress for our apartment. The mattress was delivered within a few days. It’s easy to unbox and set up- the mattress expands very quickly. There was no odor. Be careful opening the shipping box and cutting plastic wrap of mattress. No slicer is provided as was reportedly included a few years ago- I suggest using a good pair of scissors, not a knife for better control. Before removing the wrapping place the dark side of the rolled mattress (bottom of mattress) so it faces down to the bed frame. The first day it expanded to 10.5 inches, within a couple of days it was at its full 12 inch thickness. We set it up in the morning and slept well on it the same night. It has excellent isolation of movement from a partner while maintaining comfortable temperature. I usually sleep on my left side near the edge and have felt no sag in the side wall. We slept on it for a period of time before I wrote this review. For context my wife weighs under 100lbs. and I weigh 155lbs. My setting on our Sleep Number mattress is 55, my wife’s is 50 to anyone familiar with this brand adjustable air mattress. The Novilla feels somewhat firmer to me than the Sleep Number mattress at the 55 setting, in the 70-75 range. I have since owning the Novilla increased the air mattress sleep number to 75. To get an idea of what the Novilla feels like I suggest visiting a Sleep Number mattress store and test one at a 75 setting. The 75 setting may vary somewhat depending on body weight and body structure, but should give a good idea how the Novilla feels, as comfort on a mattress is obviously a personal choice. My wife sleeps on her stomach and side, I sleep on my side and back. She has said on several occasions how comfortable the mattress is without my asking her what she thinks about it. My wife has never said that about the Sleep Number mattress where each side can be individually adjusted with 20 multiple settings from 5 to 100- very soft to very firm- by a remote-controlled air pump. The Novilla mattress appears to be well made with high quality materials and should last at least several years with occasional rotation. I purchased two more Novilla queen 12 inch mattresses to replace 23 year old Select Comfort (Sleep Number) adjustable air mattresses which cost many times more each to replace versus the price of the Novilla. I am very intrigued by this mattress- it delivers comfort and quality at an affordable price. We now own three Novilla queen mattresses- two in our main home and one in our apartment. We love our new mattress!

I recently purchased this queen-size mattress and have been extremely impressed with the overall quality and comfort. From the first night, it struck a great balance between support and softness—it’s firm enough to keep my spine aligned, but still has enough cushioning to relieve pressure points, especially around the shoulders and hips. The mattress expanded quickly after unboxing and had minimal odor, which dissipated within a day. The materials feel high-quality, and the construction seems durable so far. I also noticed a big improvement in motion isolation—if you share a bed, you’ll appreciate how little movement transfers across the surface. Temperature regulation has been solid as well. I tend to sleep warm, but this mattress does a good job of staying cool throughout the night. For the price point, this is an excellent value. It feels comparable to much more expensive options. If you’re looking for a comfortable, supportive queen mattress without overspending, this is definitely worth considering. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Overall this has been a great mattress! Thick 14 inches and firm but comfortable. No aches or pains when waking up. Deep pocket sheets fit on this, which is important. Why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to feeling warm when sleeping. I bought a gel mattress protector that seems to help keep me cooler. That’s my only complaint and I think I’ve solved for it. Value is excellent!

I’ve been sleeping on this mattress for a few weeks now, and overall I’m really impressed. It arrived well packaged in a compact box and expanded fully within a couple of days, just as expected. The comfort level is a great balance not too soft and not too firm. It contours nicely to my body without making me feel like I’m sinking in, and I’ve noticed better support for my back and hips. The pressure relief is especially noticeable after long days, and I wake up feeling more rested. I also appreciate the cooling features. The gel memory foam and breathable design seem to help regulate temperature, so I don’t wake up overheated during the night. For the price, I think this mattress offers excellent value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable memory foam mattress.

This Novilla mattress exceeded my expectations. The gel memory foam feels very comfortable and helps keep the bed cooler throughout the night. The medium firm feel gives excellent support without feeling too hard, which really helps relieve pressure and back discomfort. I also love the motion isolation because movement from the other side of the bed is barely noticeable. It expanded quickly after opening and feels like a high-quality mattress for the price.

This is THE BEST mattress I’ve had in over a decade. My last decent mattress was a $2500 king size memory foam mattress. I’ve recently went through numerous life changes and I’m down to this full size mattress. Needless to say this mattress is far more comfortable than my expensive king size one was. I’ve had over 50, yes 50 back surgeries! I was looking for a soft/plush mattress that would allow my back support while also a soft cloud like feeling, and minimal support where needed to support back issues. This was the perfect combination! Mid firm to firm mattress are just too hard for the back support/comfort I need. I ordered the 14” model. Upon taking it out of air tight vacuum packaging it was quickly within minutes 8-10”, absolutely no foam or chemical smell. Within 24 hours it was at the full 14” (which is rather quick, as it could take up to three days normally). As for sleep quality, I’ve slept on it for a week now. I would rate it a 10/10, likely the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Even in $600/night hotel rooms, this is by far better. Better than my firm $2500 king size mattress. I’ve spent years sleeping 3-4 hours at a stretch due to back pain while sleeping. The first night on this I slept a FULL 9 hours and was the best sleep I’ve had since I could even remember, likely over five years. And if it were for some reason to fail me, which I highly doubt it ever will, it was only $300! You truly can’t go wrong with this purchase! I spent hours and days researching all the memory foam mattresses on Amazon, read all the reviews, gauged all the layers of how mattresses where constructed and I chose this one as the best, and it lived up to my high expectations, and did I mention for ONLY $300!!! This is the 14” full size, and it’s cool to sleep on. No hot sweaty nights in bed! You will not regret it! The 14” thickness is amazing and far better than my 10-12”” king size. Easy to use and to set up, and the size is perfect. It functions perfectly for cradling my fragile spine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A+ 10/10 Please see photos for an hour after unpacking, hand on side photo 24 hours after unboxing - full 14”, computer picture on 18” height metal bed frame with rounded corners, supports 3000 lbs. - which is also beyond amazing for support, quality, stability, and noise free movement.
