Does the gel memory foam mattress work for the hot sleeper?

I am a cold sleeper and I wake up in night sweats because of lack of breathability 9/10 times I’d say.  It wasn’t until I purchased this bed that I understood when people would say they would wake up in a pool of sweat. It literally leaves a ring of sweat around where you were sleeping that you cannot escape. Because it doesn’t breathe it doesn’t matter if the bed is comfortable or not, you will still be waking up multiple times throughout the night to grab a towel to sleep on or wipe yourself off with. This is coming from a cold sleeper, as someone who would only ever sweat due to being sick. Do not make the same mistake I did. Do not waste your money. Save for a little longer to get a bed that will actually breathe!!!!

This mattress is very firm. We had it for almost a year and ended up buying a new mattress because we were not sleeping. You sink in, but then the bed just becomes hard underneath you. I would wake up stiff every morning from lack of support for my joints.
