You can have an expensive tent and still not sleep comfortably. Inflatable mattresses are a much better area to invest when camping. I have a cheap tent that I bought for $30 years ago which works great but I had no idea how much these mats were needed to improve my experience. I actually purchased the regular version of this originally and was very happy with my experience that I decided to buy the upgraded version. I definitely recommend the upgraded over the regular since it is wide enough to support you comfortablly with a bit of movement. The regular is comfortable but you can barely move without falling off. This upgraded version is wider and has a built in pillow to improve your sleep. Additionally it can be linked to other mattresses to make a large sleeping area. Inflating this can take some time if you do it manually by foot like suggested but what I do and makes filling this almost effortless is blow up the pad and then pump for firmness. I chose this over other sleeping pads and even air mattress becuase of how small it compacts to and the fact that it is pumped by hand/foot instead of requiring electricity. Folded up and in the bag it takes up the space of about a gallon water bottle a bit less. I weigh about 260 and this supports my weight with no problems. All night it keeps its firmness and maintains it until morning. Im not sure how they do it but this does not leak air compared to air mattress that I've used before. I should note that if you apply pressure on a single point it will not feel firm so if you try to take a knee for example your feel it sink, but once you actually lay on it you will feel how firm it actually is. If you plan on going camping soon or in the future I definitely recommend getting a pad like this.

So I have been trying to find an alternative to a traditional blow up mattress while camping due to constant leaks and deflating. I chose this sleeping pad for its price and tougher material to prevent leaks. I have use this sleeping pad at home for testing and on several camping trips. I have not been nice to it. It gets stepped on and stuffed in and out of the bag. It has held up great and on multi-day trips it does not need reinflating. It's easy to inflate with the built in pump or you can use a battery powered one. I find it plenty comfortable if you adjust the firmness to your liking and my daughter has also enjoyed it and said it was comfortable. My only wish is they made one slightly wider than 27" since I roll over a lot in my sleep.

This pad is very comfortable to sleep in and it improves from the previous model. However, the red cap that covers the inflating pump appears to have a manufacturing defect, as it is bent (see attached image) and I'm worried will puncture the pad at some point. If the manufacturing is reading this, please contact me so we can figure out what to do about it. Now, here are my observations about this model: THE GOOD: 1. The material it's made of feels more resistent than the previous model, which gives me confidence that it will last longer. 2. It deflated very little overnight. The previous model deflates a lot after sleeping on it. This model preserves air better. 3. The "pillow" section of it does help to keep our head slightly up while you're laying down, allowing you to read your phone or tablet a little more comfortable. It also keeps actual pillows from sinking lower, which makes them more comfortable. However, you may need an additional pillow for better support. I'll talk about that in a minute. 4. I noticed this model removed the "square" pattern the previous model has and went back to straigt horizontal ridges across the pad. I think this is more comfortable, as it redistributes the air better, giving your back better support. THE BAD 1. The pad I received has a manufacturing defect. The red cap for the inflating pump is bent, which can be a problem if it punctures the pad while stored away in its travel pouch. This should be a problem only for the product I received, however. 2. The pillow section is not enough as a pillow by itself. It works well as a means to elevate the head slightlu, but not quite as an actual pillow. I tried to sleep on the pad without an actual pillow and it didn't work for me. The next night I slept on the pad I used an actual pillow and worked fine. Probably because the extra air prevented the head from sinking too much. So while the integrated pillow is an improvement, it should not be seen as a replacement for a pillow. Overall I'm giving it 4 starts because of the manufacturing defect. Had the cap not been bent I would've given it 5 stars. It's comfortable, it improves upon the prevous model and it shows that the company is finding ways to improve its product. I bought this for a trip from Texas to Washington where I was planning on sleeping in my car to save money. The built-in inflation function was a bit awkward and tedious, but I can see the benefit to not having to worry about batteries and such. I inflated the pad, put a foam mattress pad and blanket on top, and it stayed like that the entire trip. It was comfortable to sleep on, stayed inflated, and even stood up to my dogs walking and nesting on it. Do recommend for a bargain sleeping option.

My husband & I both purchased an Overmont sleeping pad for a camping trip. From the very first use, I was unable to keep air in mine through the night -- I had to get up every 3 hours or so to re-inflate it. However, my husband's worked perfect & was very comfortable and retained air fairly well. Later in our camping trip, we found where the air was leaking from -- there was a gap in the seams at the bottom of the mattress which was letting air out. I clearly received the product damaged, but did not test it out or try to inflate it prior to the return window, so now I'm stuck with a dud. UPDATE: I contacted Overmont & I had a new sleeping pad on my doorstep within 48 hours, free of charge. Great customer service! My new one has held up perfectly. I am changing my review to 5 stars.

First of all, what I think is most important. It is comfy. Not as comfy as a bed obviously, but I slept soundly on it on a wood floor. Sidesleeping is okay as well; just make sure when you switch to that sleep position, you are mindful to distribute your weight evenly. This brings me to my main sticking point: my first one was a dud. I inflated it three times and slept on it twice. My final sleep on my first pad ended in it deflating. I did not bother finding the hole; I simply exchanged it with a new one free of charge. This was disappointing; it's not a good sign for a sleeping pad to malfunction when doing a couple tests indoors before taking it on an actual trip. So, keep the dubious quality control in mind. Other notable negative points include the inflation. It is quite slow to inflate it with the built-in pump. Be careful not to aggravate your tendonitis if you have it or any other lower arm afflictions. The weight is also something to note. I don't know the exact weight, but I'm sure you can find it on the product description. However much it weighs, it is pretty heavy. When considering this product, make sure you know your personal priorities. I bought this because I need a decent sleeping pad for a low price. It works fine enough, but if you have substantial disposable income, you may prioritize comfort over savings. In that case, just get a higher end pad, perhaps even an ultralight one. Another negative is the width. The width may not bother me, but you may have a different opinion. This thing is a little narrow. You may not like how your arms sort of droop to the sides. You might think I wouldn't reccomend this product based on how much complaining I've done. But those last three points are really just included to better help a potential buyer decide. The only severe issue with this thing is the quality control, as I have explained. Some pads can potentially be very fragile. Overall, I am happy with this sleeping pad. It functions decently enough and can be bought with dinner money. I highly recommend it for low income campers like myself. If you MUST have some kind of cushion under you while camping, and have little money, get this.

I bought this for use during camping and as a way to get off the floor during a temporary living situation. I purchased the navy upgraded version because I liked that it was a little longer and had a built in pillow. I have slept on it a few nights. When I opened it, the bag had some white stains that I had to wipe off with a damp cloth, but the pad itself was clean. Inflation took about 2 minutes. I started with my hands covering the valve and pumping in a CPR manner, but switched to my foot and felt that was easier. Having it fully inflated was too firm for me, so I let out a little air and seemed to sleep better after that. I’m 5’7” and 140lbs and fit well and can easily, and fairly quietly, turn or maneuver on the pad. If I lay on my side, I still feel supported and off the ground. The built in pillow provides some support for the head, but an additional pillow or cushion may be needed. After a few days and nights, the pad has not needed any additional air. Repair patches are included in case a leak develops. The pad is flexible and can be leaned up against other furniture or surfaces to serve as a cushion or support when sitting on the ground. I cannot speak to the comfort when used on bumpy ground when camping, but I imagine that it won’t be a problem because of the thickness of the pad. I may put a fitted sheet over it when camping to make it easier to clean. The bag it came in seems like it could double as a shower or hiking bag. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and will consider purchasing another for my friend when we go camping.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the pad. It's good, but not great. Inflation takes a few minutes. The procedure is not difficult if done correctly. I wouldn't consider this lightweight for hikers or for bike packing. It fits snug in my 1 person half dome tent. If you have wide shoulders like me, your arms end up hanging off the edges if you're not in a mummy sleeping bag. I like hard sleeping surfaces, so I've been able to inflate this to the max stiffness for my liking. I let mine air out for a week to get rid of that new plastic smell. It held air for a week while sitting on my carpeted basement floor. It folds up nice. I didn't like the storage bag it came with, and I ended up using my own dry bag. I would use this more for cooler weather, less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and low humidity. The first time I used this for an overnight camping trip, the temperature at my site was around the high 70s (Farenheight) and very humid. The pad felt too warm laying on top without anything else covering me. I was also using a fan to move air around my tent but did not feel comfortable because of the heat. This would make a fine spare mattress for a child for a sleepover. I haven't seen any seam problems with mine, and it holds air just fine.

Einfach super! Einfach und schnell aufzupumpen per Hand oder Fuß und wirklich sehr bequem. Das Packmaß und das Gewicht eignen sich super für z.b Fahrradtouren oder Wanderungen mit Übernachtung im Zelt etc. Sehr begeistert, würde sie definitiv weiter empfehlen!

Muy práctico y útil

Es facil de inflar pense que tardaria 30 minutos pero por suerte solo fueron 3 minutos y es bastante como para ser un colchon inflable ademas que es bastante mas compacto que otros que e usado asi que no es tan estorboso como otros lo malo es que el cojin para la cabeza es bastante pequeño asi que es algo pequeño y si resulta incomodo por ese lado tambien resulta algo pequeño asi que si te mueves mucho te puedes terminar cayendo del colchon

j'avais Besoin d'un matelas pour dépanner plus épais que mon thermarest utilisé en rando,il se gonfle rapidement avec la paume de la main et est confortable .Se dégonfle légèrement au bout de 3 nuits mais se regonfle en quelques secondes.

El saco parecia de buena calidad lo compre en junio y no lo use hasta agosto y al cuarto dia de uso ha cedido el sellado de la parte de la almohada. Quisiera contactar con el vendedor y comentar el caso.
