Good but they lead you to believe it's the only one that works, expensive.
It works, but so does any Steering Fluid

I was changing the fluid in my transfer case. Because it's in a firm plastic container and I'm trying to pour it into the transfer case, it was very messy. If it had been in a soft enclosure, like the 75W-90 fluid for the front differential, it would have been much easier to work with. I finally got it done, but spilled about a pint of it.

There isn't much to say about transmission fluid: unless you really think you know better, you should probably use the exact type specified in your car's manual. Mercon V is what Ford recommended for my vehicle, and it was easy to find on Amazon and shipped fast with Prime. I could have found it for about two-thirds of the cost of the current price here (note that it may change over time online) locally, but driving would have been the easiest way to do that and I didn't want to risk doing so on low fluid. If you've never added transmission fluid before, note that you'll also need a funnel, probably one with a long, flexible spout. I used the Lumax LX-1603 Plastic Transmission Funnel . I'd also recommend having disposable gloves latex or similar gloves handy, as well as paper towels and a clean surface to set the dipstick on, but those are things many people are likely to have already. The bottle shipped well packaged (including wrapped in its own plastic bag to limit damage to other items in case the bottle were damaged in transit) as expected, and I have no problems with this item. Note again that you can probably find it cheaper locally, but the convenience of Amazon delivery was worth it for me.

The power steering was whining on my old high mileage Ford Five Hundred. Replacing the power steering pump would be $300 in parts and lots of time to install. Power steering flushing was suggested as a possible fix. Ordered an oil syringe from Amazon to easily pull the old fluid out of the reservoir. Drained the reservoir, refilled with Mercon V and drove car for 150 miles. Repeated the drain and fill after drive. Whine is gone! Total cost about $30 for this fluid and the syringe. Drain and fill twice took an hour. Amazing results from a quart of Mercon V. Ordered a second quart for quick flush on my old truck.
